I fell at a golf tournament and skinned up my left knee. It finally healed, but now and then there is a stinging or burning sensation at the spot and the area has a small area of purple like coloring. A friend told me to just get some antibiotic cream on it. Is anyone aware of how this can be treated? Maybe it will just fade away over time.

How have you been treating it since you got the injury? It could depend on what you put on it while it was healing.
I have a people scar on my knee that is permanent from a gash (over 10 years ago) I treated with a people color iodine.
