I'm on 20mg but I can no longer afford Lexapro because we lost our insureance. I stopped taking it about a week ago. It's been awful.
So sorry to hear that :( Even when I forget to take mine for a day or two, I get paranoid, uncomfortable in my own skin, worried and sad. It's a terrible feeling. But as someone who got off of Lexapro once before (I got off and restarted many months later), it absolutely DOES get better, bit by bit, day by day. Try to spend time outside, read, or do calming things for yourself if you can- it helped me.
I've come off Lexapro cold turkey with quite a few of the withdrawal symptoms discussed here. I wish I had read this:

Hi. How do you feel right now? Can you please share your experience?
Ok so I've been off lexapro for about a week and it feels like my mind is playing tricks on me. I'm always dizzy and hear weird things in my head. I ran out and can't get a refill til next week but it seems like forever and it's so uncomfortable
Hi there. I have had some palpitations and panic attacks. And I just dropped from 20 to 10mg. Stopping like you did will be making you feel awful I’m sure! Hope you’re better now though..
I stopped taking mine about 3 weeks ago. I didn't know that's what was causing my headaches and stomach pains. Right now, I am suddenly having a depressive episode. Thinking about taking one, but thanks to you, I'm gonna try and push through it. THanks again for the info.
