Hello All,
I just left the ER today due to dizziness, light-headedness, balance issues, and electric-shock type headaches. I was told by my GP that I needed to be checked for a brain tumor, MS, as well as a brain bleed. I completely terrified as I waited for the results. Turns out that all of my scans were clear and negitive for anything abnormal. The only thing I had done was stop taking Lexapro last week, cold turkey. I was told that I may have A-Typical migraines, and should be on an asprine regimine to rule out mini-stroke episodes; however, I am a 32 year old woman, and there is no HX of stroke in my family and all three of my scans, contrast and non-contrast were negative for stroke or stroke damage. I wanted to offer voice of reassurance to anyone out there who may be scared for health as I was and let them know that Lexapro is can produce very scary side effects. Please take a deep breath, I wish I had found this forum earlier. Best wishes all.
I also am really glad I am not the only one who is experiencing flu like symtoms, brain zaps, etc. My question is what are you taking to make the side effects more tolerable? i cant stay home from work for a month so this can pass, but I was on ALL different medications for over 20 years, and have come to realize, since I never really thought about suicide (it started out as baby blues) I truly believe the Prozac they gave me, gave me anxiety - which got me reeled in ever since! I am now 44 and dont need these drugs, my problem is I cant seem to get passed the nausa and the just crappy feeling?
Anyone have any ideas?
Thank You for sharing
