wow, this post was a year ago, and now I am trying to get my life back and I found this post. Do you ever come back to advise others on your status? thanks,,,
I was on Lexapro for over a year for anxiety...10mg then upped to 20. A week & half ago I stopped taking it because I'm not able to pay $150 for the dr plus meds without insurance anymore. To make a long story short I think I'm going crazy! Brain zaps, headaches, stomach is messed up and most of all am very pissed off and can cry out of the blue...Im a man that has never been one to cry and have no idea wtf is going on. My engaugment has been called off and am currently thinking of just leaving her and living on couches.. The fighting is unbearable and feel like killing myself several times a day.. Hopefully this will go away...
DO NOT TAKE THIS!!!! Its a terrible drug!
If the doctor had told me that Lexapro may permanatly Break my penis by giving me permanant Premature ejaculation, I would have never taken any SSRI or Brain Drugs.
I really want to go back there an bash that dirt bags head in.
Damn Doctor Screwed me up for life it seems.
Jerk Doctor destroyed my life
I second this post
Thanks for all the insight in the articles above .... I feel for some of you! ME? Ive been on Lexapro 5mg for about 2.5 months... Ive recently started a ketogenic diet and want to give the high fat low carb caveman diet a chance as it claims to do wonders for ones mental state among other amazing physical transformations all NATURALLY... I think the fluoride based chemicals in the Lexapro are not doing me any favours as the Ketosis is trying to rid the chemicals in Lexapro out as fast as I am taking them... and lets face it Fluroide is Toxic. I Know its only a low dosage but i think 'one' will still have to go through the withdrawal symptoms and I can not take time of work ...... Has anyone heard of Trytophan (a natural amino acid) its meant to be really helpful with the withdrawals ... Has anyone tried it? And or what would the typical weaning time/process be for 5mg... I must admit i think weaning is the answer
Then i went on holidays and had problems filling the script. I decidef as I was off it for a couple of days to come off it cold turkey.
It has been 3 weeks. No more sweating. A horrible feeling on my stomach, diarrhea, headaches and tiredness. I feel spaced out, off balance, dizzy and even turning my head feels like my brain is following later. I cry over nothing and needs no encouragement to argue.
This is tough. I'm would rather have lived with panic attacks if I knew what this is going to be like getting off these meds.
THE MAX IS 20 !!!!!
I'm a pharmacist !! You do not take that much !!!!
You're only making your life shorter by doing so !!!
