I've had this for about a week, I thought something in my house like the frig or washer or something was going until it happened at work and then day after day. I drink a lot of soda and therefor caffiene, I have back problems, and stress/anxiety. So, i'm guessing it is some kind of nueral spasm as a result of my conditions. It was just so reassuring to know i wasn't alone and it isn't really harmful.

I didn't think it was possible but I had the same thing too as well.
Mine did happened after I quit smoking and after 3 days I smoke like half of pack.
I'm not gay so no anal sex at all. I do have anxiety attacks or used to not long ago.
I do feel as the poop coming down to the butt it makes it more often.
I really don't know what started it I really don't. I've been having too much sex with my wife as well.
from what I have seen is that this is a sign of health issue such the body needs. I have seen many of you drink coffey.
I smoke. anxiety attacks as well. BTW I got rid of my anxiety attacks by drinking home made beets juice.
I will eat more healty which I was for a long time but here lately I've been eating too much fast food.
I will give an update to see if I can have any results. While then this butt is killing me and I don't want to stick my finger there.

I hate to tell you all, but this doesn't go away. I am a 53 year old female that has had this "buzzing" sensation for over a year now. It started out just a few times here and there, almost to the point of thinking I was imagining it. It has since progressed in the past 4-6 months to almost a constant buzzing, mostly when I am standing or sitting, less when laying down. I have read tons of replys and posts with ideas from IUD's (never had one) to you name it. Unfortunately, nobody seems to have had it as long as I have and no-one has seen a dr. about it. I can't seem to pinpoint where it is coming from. At first I thought my pelvic area, but now thinking it is more in the bowel. It also seems to stimulate the bowels to the point of having to go to the bathroom. Someone here has mentioned hemmaroids (I had them, had them surgically removed) also herniated disc (have had two, again, surgically repaired). I am scheduled for my first colonoscopy in two weeks so hopefully I will get some answers there. I am also seeing my naturopath/chiropractor in two days and will tell him about this. Will post if I get any answers.

I've been having this SAME exact problem for about a week now. I agree with the buzzing feeling but for me its more like a tickling feeling or leaking feeling that i can't get rid of. I've been planning to go to the doctor due to other bowel related problems, so i might bring this up as well. Although based on some of the responses..maybe there's nothing we can do about it.

OK folks I may have the answer I don't know but I was told to get more fiber in my system specially celery and I did. sure enough it was gone after 3 weeks. I got the juice maker and put the celery along with beets and man did it do the trick for me. I'm not sure if that's the cure for this but from what I know it's that the human body intestines/colon are not working well and it's time to eat healthy and use celery with beets. This maybe do to gallstones / kidney stones / too much fat in intestines /weak colon
note: Don't add sugar please that will kill it. do it if you can twice a day. Stop drinking sodas! That Vitamin water has alot of sugar sure it does have vitamins but the amount of sugar kills it. If you want sugar in your body eat watermelon/melon. Try eating healthy for atleast a week. let your colon/intestines restore by not eating hard food. no white breat, use wheat bread instead, On meats go easy also, White chicken meat will do just fine also turkey. avoid oil foods as much as possible such as french fries and stay away from those hamburgers. I hope this works for all of you! Thanks.

I was just awaken by this same buzzing suggestion much like a phone on vibrate in or around my anal sphincter similar to what has been described thus far. This however is not the first time it has occurred. As a matter of fact this has been been going on and off for several months now. At one point I thought someone had placed some sort of implant in my colon that monitors medical conditions and vitals. I can't help but wonder if aliens have something to do with this. No, I am not crazy. It's just that without any other viable working theory, it doesn't seem so far-fetched. I am certain it is not a twitch as someone had mentioned earlier. And I even thought I was merely passing gas in my sleep but eliciting flatulence immediately after being awaken this morning yielded a much different sensation.
I just hope someone learns about this strange affliction and albeit a painless one, it is rather annoying and wakes me up!

Did you find out anything? I have had it for two days and am shocked to see so many other people with the same issue here.. because I have never heard of such a thing. I do have hemorrhoids and not been treated for them. Also been eating badly over the holidays. Going to try juicing as someone recommended.

I have it and it started a few days ago. However, today I was bending my neck and noticed a corrolation. I tucked my chin into my chest and it triggered it as constant. When I looked up, it stopped. It still does it but I think there must be a corrolation with spinal nerves and this feeling. No pain just as everyone has said - annoying.

I've been having this feeling for the last 2 days. No coffe drinker. Had a few beers though. Maybe stress. Whatever it is, it doesn't hurt, just uncomfortable.
