I have these things, they appear if I have slight case of diarhea. They are like a small orange jelly bean, but are rectangular in shape. Inside is white substance.

Has anyone got path results back from having them tested?

I am not on any medications.

Wow thank you for this. I am on metformin
& only recently increased to 2 a day & I think this is possibly the same time I have noticed passing these strange objects. Do you also have a lot of bowel movements? Sometimes I have as many as 20 a day which is very inconvenient & annoying.

I've been trying to figure this out too, I have not been diagnosed with bmi or whatever that is but I'm on Wellbutrin too... Maybe it's that because it's only about twice the size of the pill I take.

I went directly to the pharmaceutical manufacturer for metformin XR and found this that I thought may be helpful.
Metformin HCl extended-release tablets must be swallowed whole and never crushed or chewed. Occasionally, the inactive ingredients of metformin HCl extended-release tablets may be eliminated as a soft mass in your stool that may look like the original tablet; this is not harmful and will not affect the way metformin HCl extended-release tablets works to control your diabetes.

Thanks everyone! The grape-sized things started with me about a month ago & I have been worried. I too take 4 Metformin XR each evening with dinner. The comments advising these pills may not be absorbing into my system completely gives me a great starting point. First thing tomorrow I will be calling my Diabetes Support Nurse & whoever else she advises. Good luck everyone!

System Components and Performance - Metformin HCl extended release tablets, USP comprises a dual hydrophilic polymer matrix system. Metformin HCl is combined with a drug release controlling polymer to form an "inner" phase, which is then incorporated as discrete particles into an "external" phase of a second polymer. After administration, fluid from the gastrointestinal (GI) tract enters the tablet, causing the polymers to hydrate and swell. Drug is released slowly from the dosage form by a process of diffusion through the gel matrix that is essentially independent of pH. The hydrated polymer system is not rigid and is expected to be broken up by normal peristalsis in the GI tract. The biologically inert components of the tablet may occasionally remain intact during GI transit and will be eliminated in the feces as a soft, hydrated mass.

I have been passing these white, round, rubbery things (they look like tips of a latex glove) for several weeks. I have severe diverticulosis and have been experiencing severe symptoms of bloating, pain, bowel problems and diarrhea since I started taking Glumetza. I thought I had a large tapeworm or something shedding its skin, been to several doctors trying to figure it out. All parasite/worm/bacteria tests came back normal. Finally I took one of each of the medications I take on a daily basis and put each in a glass of water to see if it could possibly be a med I was on. Sure enough, after several days, the Glumetza pill finally dissolved enough in the water to leave a round, white, latex-looking object in the water, very similar to what I was passing. I don't know what the hell they use to coat these large pills, but they are NOT water soluble and they are not digestible. I believe my digestive problems are directly related to these rubbery coatings getting caught in the diverticulosis pockets in my colon. If you take Metformin or Glumetza ER, try it yourself. Put a pill in a glass of water and see how long it takes for the pill to dissolve enough to leave the rubbery coating. It will take several days I assure you. Imagine what that is doing to your digestive system.

I have to agree with you. I just noticed this one capsule looking like thing in my stool tonight. The size of a bird egg kinda and a jelly like outer layer in greenish color. I freaked out and jumped on Google like all of you guys. I recently started taking CLERATIN-D for my seasonal allergies just like "hiphappenin" and tonight I noticed that capsule thing in the toilet. I'm truly hoping it is the time release allergy pill I'm taking. I feel better after reading this.

Casein coagula. Often caused by fatty foods, and sometimes lactose intolerance. Lots of you are saying you have IBS as well.

I don't have IBS or cholesterol issues, but I get the occasionally.

Hi ! Well. Hopefully this can help some or most of you.

I have the same issue. White rubbery balls in and around my pooh. Usually the size of paintballs. (gross right !?)

I do take meds. So yes it may very well just be the meds. I doubt it though.

I have high anxiety and depression. I tense up a lot. More then i even realize. There is something I can't remember the name but it is the result of your stomach and digestive system tensing-up. Which happens to me all day everyday. I breathe through my chest not my tummy. For some odd reason this causes pressure in your digestive system and we create these white rubbery balls. Now of course it might be other things. Just thought this might help and if i can find the name of it again i will refresh my reply.Btw. My meds are capsule free except for ramipril which is a small blue and white capsule ...

Maybe take s bit of time to examine how you breathe and determine if maybe this may be your problem. Im sure other things cause the compression also ...

I discovered these tannish-gummy bear consistancy bean "curds" in my stools a couple of weeks ago. My doctor brushed me off like I was crazy, so the next time it happened (they happen every other day) I took pictures. Same as everyone else...bean shaped with cake-like white inside that was almost dry. I have since researched as much as possible and found that they are the result of too much casein protein, which is found in all dairy, as well as numerous other foods. It is also thought to speed up some forms of cancer growth. Babies have them most likely due to the huge amount of dairy they consume. I was consuming a great amount of dairy products as well (fake cheese and greek yogurt are two of the worse casein protein offenders)...and they were more prevalent. I also take many medications, and have for twenty years plus, and I have never seen these before. I can guarantee it's not an undigested pill...wrong answer. I don't take metformin either... The first one I noticed had a large blood clot attached, but the ones ever since are alone and just float, making them easier to spot. I am removing this protein from my diet in the hopes it helps. These things freak me out and I want them gone...
