I am 2 weeks post op laparoscopic hysterectomy, and had light spotting a few days after the surgery, then no bleeding until tonight.I was on the computer an hour ago and felt this big gush of something come out "down there", went to the bathroom and it was bright red blood, followed by 2 more large gushes of bright red blood mixed with clots (one clot was egg-sized). After these gushes, I am now having "heavy spotting". I know they took out my cervix,I can't figure out how blood would come out through there, it is supposedly all sewn up.
I did do laundry today, and have resumed making dinner each night. Laundry requires a lot of bending, I did feel it in my body after I was done.
Do you think I simply am doing too much too soon?
My Mom was here the first week to help but she has gone home. I also have my Dad to take care of, he is very sick and we moved him in with us 9 months ago. The older kids have been very good about helping out a lot, but the two younger ones aren't old enough to help much.On top of it all, our 2 year old cat Jasmine had a stroke the day I came home from the hospital. She lived through it, but cannot use her left side, I have been trying to nurse her through this also. When it rains it pours. :-(
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You in advance. ?

Same thing just happened to me, yesterday I passed nearly 50+ clots within a 15 hour period, then over night I was soaked in bed sleeping and woke up with blood literally everywhere,,, on the hour, I finally just got up at 1AM and stayed up, Did you ever get the answer to this?
I’m replying for anyone else this happens to…This also happened to me 2 weeks post op hysterectomy. Called my ob, he said if I saturated 1-2 pads in a couple hours to come in to ED. And that’s what happened. I was just nonstop blood clots and bleeding. Turns out I had a loose suture on the inside of my vajayjay. And he tried medical grade glue that didnt work then he tried packing it with gauze to put “pressure” to stop the ooze but that also didn’t work. Last resort was going back to the OR and resuturing from the inside. So that’s what happened. He mentioned that it can happen sometimes with robotic hysterectomies. Fingers crossed nothing else happens during my recovery. I thought I was doing just fine swimmingly, but maybe because I felt good I did a little more than I should and that’s when blood hit the fan. Lol. Pardon my humor, I’m in the medical field and that’s how I get through tough situations. Anyway, if this happens to you make sure to contact your MD. I dropped a couple points in my hgb count, not enough to get a blood transfusion but enough to make me feel dizzy a few days. Anyway, hope this answer helps for future people.
