sudden onset of burning cough

I feel healthy other than this terrible cough that burns. No sore throat, no nasal congestion, no flu like aches and pains. I have lower than normal energy and don't feel sick but this cough that just came on out of nowhere sounds like I'm very sick.

I visited my parents two days ago, both have been sick for two weeks with flu like symptoms including bad coughs.

Well it could be bronchitis or maybe even some allergy reaction. What you need to do, since you have been facing this condition for about few days now, is to visit your doctor. if you don’t have fewer than you are probably able to walk and do the things you are normally do, and the weakness you have been experiencing is one of the symptoms of bronchitis.
