Random parts of my body swells everyday! My legs, feet, hands, fingers, arms , and lips. Most of the time it is a combination of two. I don't really know why. It's really big and itchy. I just want to stop it because it is really uncomfortable. I don't know what to do. I'm 18

I have been having similar episodes of swelling. Left side of forehead, righ side of forehead, bottom of feet, palm, fingertips at random times but most often I wake with it. Also hives popping up in various areas. Finally gave in and went to allergist as I expected it was some sort of food allergy. Was told it wasn't but had some blood work done anyway. Came back clean and doctor confirmed it was an immune system issue that was not necessarily treatable. Apparently it is more annoying than concerning. Was told to take antihistamine (Zyrtec specifically) but I had a bad reaction once to it making me a little out of it. I find taking Fexofenadine (generic Allegra) daily keeps it under control but don't like taking anything daily so I take it with flare ups. Was told to triple up the dose for bad flare ups if necessary. Also was prescribed Prednisone to help with flare ups which seems to work pretty well. Read someone else mention hydration helps and I think I have noticed a correlation there as well. The more I drink water the less flare ups I seem to have.
Very disconcerting/annoying issue but I believe it is highly correlated to sleep/hydration/stress. The more sleep/more hydration/less stress the better. Not saying this is for everyone but antihistamine and hydration seem to be a good way to go for me.

All allergies start into the stomach area. Look into Candida. This can cause an allergy to anything or everything. The cure is to get your stomach in good health. When yeast takes over it's possible for food particles to leach into the blood stream undigested, the body recognizes these as an antibody and increases histamine to combat it the histamine can then cause plasma to leak into the dermis causing the swelling. Good luck

One weekend my lips Swelled up in the night. started from right cheeks and slowly moved to the lower lips . I was adviced to take BENADRYL® and the swelling reduced and gone the next day.
Next weekend (night) started to tingle at right side of my lips, slowly took over complete tongue. It was like a golf ball ! almost blocking the airway .
Spent a day at the Hospital and Dr. advised it is the Blood Pressure medication lisinopril I was taking may be the culprit. I have been taking "Lisinopril" for the past 5 years ! It seems some develop Allergies for lisinopril after few years..
It is been 5 months since I changed the BP medication and swelling has not occurred. Then again , I never had any Alleries before the two episodes in April 2016 .
Medicine is not exact science, I am curious to know if any of you are taking "Lisinopril"

I've literally been doing research for about two weeks now. I've had tons of emergency room visits, only to be brought back to square 1. My experience with this irritating condition has literally changed my life dramatically over this past year. It all started with one sip of grape fanta last year. I had a severe allergic reaction to that, however afterwards,I had a SEVERE itching urge and as i scratched it burned, turned bright red, and swelled fairly fast. It started with just my hands and the bottoms of my feet, but then lately, its been progressing throughout my body. Into my wrists (HOW PAINFUL IS THAT!!), my ankles, Knee, Lips, Elbows, and at one point EVEN MY TONGUE!!! The worst has to be my mouth and feet being that i am sixteen years old and in high school. this literally has caused me to miss so many days of school due to pain when i walk and being sent home for facial swelling -_-. My doctor has ordered my to stop using scented soaps, lotions, perfumes, deodorants; stop drinking sodas and artificially flavored juices. But so far nothing has worked. I need help, BADLY! It's painful, irritating, and a very uncomfortable thing to go through, especially when there's no way to control it.

My Dad is having the same symptoms now. Last week it was the tounge and face. Last night and today it's the lounge, face, arch of his foot, and left thumb. If it's not good related I wonder if it is caused by Lipitor that he takes for cholesterol.

My son has just started experiencing these symptoms and from what I am finding online it looks like it may be Hereditary Angioedema (HAE). Please research and mention to your doctor. They have a blood test for it although it does not look to have a cure yet.
