Why can't you squeeze it now? If it's because it's so sensitive, it will improve but you have to keep working on it to get to where you can grasp it and be able play with your new bare glans. Cleaning it with rubbing alcohol makes it and your fingers so clean that they can slide easily over the bare glans. That makes it easier to touch and rub it.

I had the operation yesterday at 2pm, it's now 05:4am GMT, I'm 20 years old, I don't know if I'm just being a b***h but it hurts, the doctors gave me codydramol & it's supposed to make me drowsy, I can't feel it kicking in, Ive not been to sleep, I'm hoping when I have a bath in a few hours I'll expect everything to magically disappear, I can feel the stitches rubbing sharing my swab, I took out my 'triangle' like a bit tampon for the blood, and it seems to be more comfier without it,

Hello folks, my circumcision was 12 days ago. The wound appears to be healing fairly well, although there is still some redness. But most of my stitches have dissolved, there appears to be only one stitch left that is visible. Erections don't hurt that much anymore, but still just a little uncomfortable. The glans are what are troubling me, which is what brought me here. The underside of the head is mostly back to natural colour, but the base of the head is really reddish/pinkish still, it seems irritated and it seemed like it was kind of scabby. I've been applying bacitracin every day since the surgery to the wound and as of recently, to the base of the head. I've been taking baths everyday, and now I've started to take more showers because the pain is much better. Rubbing of the glans is still just very uncomfortable, im not quite sure what I'm asking, I think I'm mostly just concerned about the base of the head. Is this normal? Will I live?
I'm also just extremely ready to masturbate, and I'm wondering a good way to gently rub in the next week for a release, so I don't have to wait the recommended 6 weeks because holy mackerel that's excruciating.

I had mine done yesterday, prior to it I was told two or three days and I would be back to normal just have to wait a few weeks for sexual intercourse. I now no that to be a lie.
I removed the bandages this evening and I'm extremely swolen, bruised beyond belief and in a lot of discomfort... Basically my willy -which used to get compliments- now looks like an aubergine.
I have been pretty much left on my own to work it out as I go along so any advise would be greatly appreciated... I'm 26 and suffered from phimosis, was able to have sex until recently it started to become painful. I had no idea about the sensitive glands and that Im going to have to build up a tolerance, was taking the bandage off after 24 hours a bad Idea? Can I shower as I normally would? Do I have to look after my penis any different now?
I'm feeling at a bit loss at the moment and alone. Starting to wish I had looked into alternatives.

I think you should be able to shower but I would be careful not to get soap in the area of the cut as it would probably hurt. Having warm water on it might be quite soothing. I wouldn't worry about the swelling etc. that will go away in time and you will be as beautiful as before. I was all black and blue and my balls were the size of a baseball after my vasectomy. That all went away but it took weeks. Once you are healed up you just shower the same as normal no special treatment needed, just wash it like you do the rest of your body.
You may find it looks better than before, there is something about a nicely exposed glans that many people find quite attractive. I think mine looks quite nice with the foreskin pulled back tight, just not enough to have it removed.
I don't think you did wrong removing the bandages, they have to come off sometime and you are going to have to go through the desensitization process. Keeping it dry is probably the best thing so it doesn't pull when sliding against your clothing. On a topic about retracting the foreskin on purpose the guys seem to like wearing speedos to hold it in place with a minimum of friction on the glans. If it is really unbearable you might try wrapping it with something that is very soft like flannel. When I desensitized mine I found a piece of cloth that was like that to put over my fingers at first while I rubbed my glans. I used rubbing alcohol to clean it with first so it was not at all sticky after it dried and the cloth could slide over it smoothly. Of course I had the advantage of being able to put the foreskin back in place after I had enough. But I got it so that I can touch it and rub it as much as I want and it's quite pleasurable to be able to rub the bare dry glans. So I think you will ultimately be happy with it and maybe you could speed up the process by working on it in your spare time. I enjoyed doing it after the initial sensitivity was gone.
Don't let the naysayers discourage you. You have joined a large group who mostly like the way they are and many girls like it too. There is also a lot of pleasure in being able to rub the bare glans. I always want my wife to hold my foreskin back tight so she can play with/rub my bare glans just like she did this morning. Since I desensitized it I have never rolled the foreskin back and forth, not even once. I want the feeling of rubbing the bare glans and rolling it between my/her fingers and generally playing with it all over.
Pretty soon you will be enjoying yourself in a new way.
Don't get discouraged it will heal and be fine/great!!!

I think if you keep it dry it will probably be less of a problem as it won't stick to everything it contacts. When I was desensitizing mine I used to wash it with rubbing alcohol to clean it. After the alcohol dried it was not sticky at all and I was able to slide my fingers over the bare glans quite comfortably. That's when I took up dry masturbating with my foreskin held back tightly and rubbing my bare glans. Ooooo it feels soooo good.

Here is what I have done till now.
1/ Day 1 to day 3: I gave my penis ice cube massage. Wrapped ice in a piece if plastic and massaged my shaft. No where near head. This helped a little to reduce swelling.
2/ No bath on first three days. My wife sponged me real hard
3/ day 4 onwards i soaked my penis and balls in a glass of luke warm water with 2 table spoons of salt 3 times a day - 5 minutes each time. This helped a lot. Also helped it keeping clean and washing vaseline off my penis. See point 6 below. No more ice cubes.
4/ day 4 also had a shower with mildly hot water keeping the penis protected with a hand. No direct water on the penis.
5/ Day 5 onwards no more protection of penis from running water though no direct spraying of water on penis. It hurt initially but then was not bad.
6/ I protected my glan from rubbing or touching anything using 2 things. 1- Spread a thick blob of vaseline on a piece of medical gauge and wrap my penis in it while leaving the pee hole open and 2 - Once bandaged place the penis facing up in a tight Y shaped underwear. Thight but not too tight. I have been doing this at night also. I change my gauge three times a day because sometimes pee drops come out without my feeling them. Doctor said this is normal for few days. This also helped me go to office on day 4 though i made sure not to walk too much in office. My boss understood. In fact it was fun watching boys reaction to my circucision story. They all involuntarily moved their hands to protect their penises...ha ha ha. I loved it.
7/ for erections i make sure to wake every three hours at night and pee. This has been of some help.
8/ last but not the least i am having 3 to 4 panadols a day to manage pain and reduce inflamation. At night my doctor has given me diclofenac sodium as pain killer.
Hope what is working for me works for you also.
