super sensitive glans after adult circumcision

Hey,

I regretted it for the first three days also. On the fourth day things just took a turn and started to feel normal. It has been 7 days since circ and I am feeling comfortable, and can get an erection without pain, just a tiny bit of an awkward feeling.

I suggest getting gauze bandages that are relatively thick and generously using vaseline on them for the first four days. Then keep it out in the air during the day by the fourth day. My skin on the glans is starting to come through normally and losing a lot of sensitivity.

Not going to lie
I had a circumcision last year at 41 years old
Lost size, hard to get an election and hold it. Definitely cant get one standing up anymore.
Everything healed ok and no issues in that regard
But sensitivity? Gone
I use to get massive erections standing sleeping whatever, now nothing.

I think as a kid getting ine your body still grows and adjust really. As an adult not so good.

This is why i am searcing around here on the internet so i can find out what is wrong

I agree
I had no choice because the pain I suffered with an erections and the foreskin tearing was un real.
My sex life is changed forever without a doubt and as an adult wont grow anymore to adjust.
Not a very good trade off but not much choice for me.
Now cleaner and no foreskin issues
Just cant get erections anymore even with viagara or cialis

Hey! Thought I'd post an update since I hadn't in a while.

Day 9: Was able to masturbate using the bottom of the shaft. Painless, no blood etc. Orgasm was very intense. Have done so nearly every day since.

Day 17: Today, Jan 1st is day 17. Healing has been very good and now I am able to have my glans exposed in just underwear for the past 5 days. I can't relate to the comments about pain and not being able to masturbate until 6 weeks. I think my comments below might have been helpful...

Comments: I highly recommend using bandages and vaseline for the first 8 days entirely, as the healing will be amazing. I took an epsom salt bath on day 5 and have been taking them ever since. They helped keep it clean, desensitise the glans and remove stitches. I definitely do not regret getting this procedure done, I feel so much more confident already. My penis actually appears larger as my tight foreskin was "holding it back" inside. Looks awesome.

Had sex at 3 weeks (today). Went perfect, felt awesome, haha. Afterwards I realised a big bulging vein had appeared on my shaft, so I kind of regret that. Maybe wait a bit longer than I did, but it appears to be subsiding quickly. Only had sex once I cut all the stitches out between 2 and 3 weeks. Sex seems to have basically eliminated all the bad sensitivity around the glans and cut line.

Also, I wouldn't do the rubbing alcohol thing. Its really not necessary and your sensitivity and cleaning is adequately handled with epsom salt baths. My penis can now sit comfortably in normal underwear. Some people also have nasty reactions to rubbing alcohol so please don't put that on your penis.

I feel the same way you feel, although I got mine done 1 week ago. I still have not been able to put on any underware from the sensitivity, and I have gone through the hardest week in my life, filled with agony from not being able to sleep from being paranoid at the thought of my exposed glans coming in contact with anything. I am wondering why my surgeon never mentioned to me the pain and agony I was going to have to endure after the procedure. I wish I would have known earlier and would have rather not getting it done and worked with desensitizing my glans but keeping my foreskin. I am hoping that as the weeks come and go that I can build enough courage to put on underwear to be able to return to a normal life. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried to touch it since the surgery a week ago and not built enough courage to do so and its really taking a hard toll on me psycogically, emotionally and physically. I want to return to a normal life as soon as possible, but I don't see that happening until months from now. Any advice will be very appreciated!!

To encourage you a bit, being able to play with your bare glans is the best!!! So don't get discouraged about what you've done. The surgeon probably didn't tell you about the sensitivity because if he had you might have chickened out and he would be out the money you paid him.

I think your best course would be to force yourself to touch and play with your newly bare knob as often as you can. You WILL find you like it. If it's clean and dry your fingers won't stick and will be a lot easier.

There are a lot of comments here about "playing with your glans" but I think this is mostly unproductive. The best thing to do is have epsom salt baths, and you can move your body around so water flows over the glans. This is the easiest thing to do first.

Next use soft thick bandage gauze covered in vaseline if you would like to wear underwear. This is a lot more comfortable than being naked because you do not have it bumping everywhere. Supportive underwear are the absolute best for this. You do not need it held upright, you can just keep it down.

Once I hit 9 days I could masturbate using the bottom of the shaft. This provided relief and stopped nightly boners. I did so every second day for the next two weeks.

Once I hit 3 weeks I had basically been able to pull out all of my stitches and have intercourse. I have since got a flashlight (sorry if TMI!) and use that for masturbation as it is much easier without a foreskin. I really think masturbation with a toy is the easiest and most sure way to desensitise your penis. I am at 4 weeks now with a basically fully normal circumcised penis.

I also agree with looked that the simplest way to desensitize the glands is by touching them when they are dry so you fingers glide smoothly over them without sticking, as an uncircumcised guy that's how I did mine once I started pulling my foreskin back. The more it's exposed and touched the faster the sensitivity dies down.

The object is to have it so you can allow it to touch whatever you are wearing while it is dry so why cover it with something sticky/greasy attempting to get to that point? Bare it and dry it and touch it all over with your dry fingers. You have control over how delicately you touch it and how much, it's not like it's in your pants rubbing on the cloth. Covering it with something damp or greasy for long periods just keeps it from getting desensitized and prolongs it. I cleaned mine off with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol and when it dried I was able to slide my fingers over it easily. It feels really touchy at first but by persisting I won and it's no longer sensitive even though it spends most of the time inside it's protective cover. I can uncover it whenever I want and now I can dry it with a cloth before going for the gold. It really is nice to be able to handle that bare glans so don't get discouraged.

Penguinboy - you have given much needed good advice with your post. I had it done a week ago, and although I am in much fear of even touching my glans due to the sensitivity, I now it will get better with time. How did you deal with the sensitivity? Were you hypersensitive when you got it done? That is my major concern, the hypersensitivity. I can't touch it yet without feeling unbearable agony. How long did it take you to start touching it directly?

Thanks kiwi.guy. I have started my epsom salt baths, and so far.. I have noticed the swelling and overall look of it begin to improve, but the ultra sensitivity has not yet diminished. My stitches are starting to split open, and the sharp pointy tips of the stitches are pinching against my scrotum, which has created another issue all together. How long did it take for you to overcome the ultra sensitivity? What did you do besides epsom salt baths? Thanks for your advise, it has helped me lots. K.

Thanks. I will start to touch it soon, I am just waiting for the stitches to heal a little more. Everytime one of my fingers bumps into one of my stitches, the pain is intense due to the the sensitivity.
