The only problem your find your have doing that is even once the scaring has healed up the glands them selves are still going to be very sensitive because the vaseline isn't allowing the skin on the gland to dry out and start to thicken up reducing sensitivity.

I need suggestions then. How can I let it dry out without extreme discomfort? There's physically no way I can leave it out while asleep because it would hit my leg etc.

I was thinking it would be suitable to follow my current method until I am able to bathe, and start reducing the sensitivity through water treatment. Then let it dry out? Tomorrow I will leave it exposed to air for a large part of the day.

That is why I said after the scaring has healed, wait until it's healed then if you sleep with on bottoms on your find you will get use to the feeling of the glands touching things naturally and your be able to sleep just fine, that's how I first managed to loose the sensitivity on my glands by keeping my foreskin retracted fully through the night.

Thanks. I do think however that for the first 5 days a bandage with vaseline is ok. The reason being, is for guys like myself, who have never been able to retract their foreskin at all, we have had zero outside contact and the glans is very very raw upon circumcision. The tip of my glans was purple and stuck to underwear without a vaseline gauze.

I just woke up this morning after applying my usual night time dressing and can see the glans is healing to a more consistent colour. I do intend to leave it to dry more often but this early after the procedure is too much to ask.

Even after 5 days of healing and applying vaseline your still find the glands are very sensitive because it's acting as a barrier over the glands and stopping them from drying out, once you have healed up I would suggest the easiest way to remove sensitivity would be to clean the glands with rubbing alcohol then get use to gently stroking the glands with your finger.
Even with a foreskin when you pull it back the first few times it feels painful almost to touch the glands but the sensitivity soon goes the more it's exposed.

Yeah I had read previous posts that said that. Do you use cotton swabs/balls to rub with alcohol?

Right now I am not entirely covering the glans, I have it up and just covered half of the base of the penis with the glans exposed to dry. Hopefully that will help a tiny bit.

Cotton balls are best but you use what ever you want.

What percentage alcohol did you use? I read 70% but not sure

I didn't know you had a choice. Rubbing alcohol is rubbing alcohol.

I haven't used that method but I think I have read on here before that njoynlife said that he has used it.

Day 5

Woke up feeling much better than previous days. Walking more comfortably, however I still am using a gauze when I require underwear on as its too much sensitivity. Other than that I am naked during the day. Gave my weiner a very quick 1 minute salt wash as I felt minor stinging, indicating the wound needs more time. Finally starting to feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Doctors always use to say take a salt bath after an operation as it will help fight any infection and will also help the scar to heal faster.
I take it you have the dissolveable stitches in, hope all carries on ok for you and keep us informed how you get on.

Yes they are dissolvable. I have read that water does not actually dissolve them (contrary to many comments here), and that only the lymph fluid will. Thanks for info I will do longer tomorrow.
