How are you now? You must be pretty well healed up and feeling nearly normal by now.

Once I desensitized my glans I found I preferred rubbing it dry and the feeling was incredible compared to sliding the foreskin over it.
Did they do a good job getting rid of your frenulum?

I'm writing about my circumcision because I found previous posts to be helpful. So hopefully I help out others in the future.
I decided to get the circumcision because I had phimosis.
Day 1 - surgery.
Woke up. Didn't eat after midnight the night before. Checked into the day surgery. Nurses greeted me and got me to change in a gown. Answered various health questions and met with the surgeon briefly. Told the surgery would last about 30 minutes.
Waited for about 2 hours for surgery to begin. nurses brought me into the operating room and talked very calmly. I was very nervous about the operation, as I think any guy would be. They laid me on the operating table and gave me an IV in my hand. I hate needles but again, doctors and nurses made me confortable. They gave me the oxygen mask. I thought about walking out on the surgery but then figured " I made it this far". I took the deep breaths of the oxygen masks, tried to fight falling asleep, but was out in about 15 seconds.
Woke up 30 minutes later. Felt like an instant. Was feeling good because I was on morphine. I think I spent about 45 minutes in the "recovery" room. Don't really remember much. Morphine made my nose and lips itch/numb. Also made me very interested in the heart rate monitor.
Took me off the morphine and I was wheeled to another room. Here they gave me the choice of apple juice or water and crackers.
Spend about another hour here, alert. Nurse figured I was good to go home. I took off my gown and put on my clothes. The motion made me nauseous because of the surgery/morphine. I vomited in a bucket. It was an "easy" vomit because I didn't eat 12 hours before the surgery and was mostly just the apple juice.
The drive home was an hour, and I vomited 1 more time. Again, just apple juice. Also important to have someone drive you.
I ate light in the evening - toast and pop tarts. At about 8pm I took my first pee. It was very weird. First the bandage fell off right away. It took me a very long time to pee because I was nervous. After I'd say about 15 minutes, I was able to pee, sitting down of course. When the bandage came off I was pretty startled. My penis looked awful - it was swollen. But to be honest, it looked better than what I imagined. It just looked really weird.
There was no pain on day 1 really. For me, it was just hard to walk. Felt really odd having the penis head touch clothes. I slept in a lazy boy chair. It felt weird laying down so I thought it would be better to sleep sitting up.
I slept in about 1 hour increments. In and out of it because of the drugs earlier in the day.
Day 2 - woke up. Did work from home as I can work from a laptop. I got called into work at 10:30. I figured I could manage, still not much pain, just taking ibuprofen about every 8 hours. I showered before work. This was scary because it impacted the wound. Opened up a little bleeding. Just spotted blood. Nothing too bad considering the size of the wound.
At work I had to walk about two blocks, each way. This was difficult for me because the head of the penis is extremely sensitive. Also, felt weird because of the spotted blood in the underwear ( from shower ).
In the afternoon I was in discomfort from the walk. I went home early. Applied polysporin to the wound. sat in the lazy boy chair for the evening. Felt better because moving less.
Overall, not much pain as I expected. The pain I experience is from the head of the penis when I walk. It's very awkward. It's like learning to walk again.
I'll keep you posted on day 3!

Its been 2 1/2 days since my circumcision and much like others I am struggling from an oversensitive glans. I've been fortunate enough that pain at the circumcision line is bearable, however two things continue to worry me. First, returning to office with such a sensitive glans is scary. Right now, I am at home, making sure I do not brush against furniture etc. But on the train, in office, etc I doubt I'll have much of a choice. Second and probably the worrying aspect, is that I have a swollen base - where the frenulum used to be. Its an unsightly red/blue hue which I hope will subside soon. As suggested, today I showered and allowed a little hot water on my glans. Still cannot handle the shower directly on it. With regards to the frenulum area, I will just have to wait and watch.

I really want to thank most of you who shared similar experience as I'm going through. Most of your experiences comfort me. I'm exactly 2 weeks post-circ. I'm 27 and I suffered phimosis for years.
A bit of history. When I was 7 or 8, my parents took me to paediatric Dr because I got pain (as told by them since I lost the memories). The Dr said retraction maybe made possible at teen. So my parents taught me how to do the retraction slowly during bath. As I remember I only did it for a few times since the pain of stretching is unbearable, not to mention the head sensitivity. When I grow up I did not focus much attention on cleaning the head because of the traumatic experience of retracting foreskin. But i did not get into trouble of any pain or balantis so far. By the age of 16 during regular health screening, I was told by a male Doctor that I should do a circ since I pulled back with difficulties. But then I was so scared of surgery so I kept it secret to my parents. Obviously a mistake. I was finally fully aware of the cleaniness and importance of the retraction until university I wont detail the sex thing but clearly I hesitate to do it because even slight stretching makes me painful. After all these years I am finally brave enough to correct myself for a better sex life and health.
All I can say the most annoying, depressed and anxious matter undeniably relates to the over-sensitive glans. The wound is just no big deal. I took the first week off from work when I wore no undies at home. I returned to work on the second week, really bad idea. True is that the sensitivity goes down a little. By this I mean just a little that I could put it into a tight brief without trouble for most part of the glans except at the tip near the meatus. Even I am wearing soft sport pants it did not help when it had to slide across my undie where the tip got irritated. The pain was unbearable. My job isn't a sitting one. I need to walk a lot but not much heavy lifting. I walked like robot and feeling embarrased to respond to my colleagues' concerns.
On the first week the tip stick to my undie, at which I was totally unnoticed. As I pulled down my undie for toilet it mildy bleeds, terribly painful. After which I know it sticks and applied vaseline either directly to my undie, or on gauze to top over the tip before the undie.
I am still on recovery. On the good I did not pretty get much bleeding nor painful erection (doing it with lazer circ). I could even cum on the 10th day, a little painfully though when they passed through the urethra (possibly due to swelling?) On the bad, perhaps since I worked on second week, the underside of glans was kept constantly moist within my pants. So the healing worsens. Just yesterday I went to a urologist (not my surgeon because he's just a specialist in surgery). He said I got minor infection and had prescribed Levofloxacin to me (former course is Augmentin) and advised me to re-bandage my wound until its full recovery. On the sensitivity issue, he also recommends applying a gauze to the glans to avoid direct contact to outer pants. I tried today and it's a lot better.
I wish the sensitivty issue can go down a bit faster since I will be on vacation one week after. Urologist Dr also said the sensitivity of the tip may also go down a lot more if the wound at the underside heals up. I pray for this to be true.
I had almost no surgery in my life. This counts as the first. It really feels bad. I was very anxious all day, every minute trying to prevent outer pants from sliding across my glans. At home I sit only half a chair such a way that my underside of glans, which is still infected, would not touch myself (i mean scrotum). I used a dehumidifier in hope of getting it drier so it may heal up a bit faster. Literally every moment my mind is on my penis, holy c**p. I know why all of you are here. And believe me I googled searched every day hoping to find answers. I still believe time heals. And if you read until here, thank you for staying with me. I know I talked too much. Wish me luck and healthy. These are what I need.

My penis had fallen in on itself and took 3 weeks to finally pop out.
I get this tingling sharp pain as if something is crawling under my skin where I urinate from.
I can't touch it at all.
I see the urologist and he says I must pull back the skin and clean underneath where there is some dry blood but can't as the pain is to extreme.
I bought a cricket box a few days ago so my penis can't touch anything as clothing makes it sting.
I use a shower hose and slow down the pressure and use coldish water as warm water hurts like the devil.
Its 4 weeks since the op.
When is this nightmare going to end!!!!!!!!!!! ??
Regards
Colin from Perth Western Australia.

Hey,
I am 20 years old and was circumcised two days ago. The sensitivity of my glans is insane because I have never had this area of my penis exposed. Torture! I have written what seems to have worked well for me so far:
Daytime: During the day, I use a 20cm x 10cm gauze pad and cover it with vaseline. This is then placed vertically in my underpants and folded lightly under my penis. My penis will sit in its regular position. Getting the vaseline covered gauze onto the penis is really rather painful. I found it best if you place the end two centimetres of the gauze under the underside of the penis, and fold it around the penis (not yet touching the glans - just fold it so it has a gap). Simultaneously you should pull your briefs up and it will put the gauze in place and make it relatively painless! This is done standing up. I hope that made sense.
Sleeping: At night time, I do a different dressing using the same 20cm x 10cm gauze pad with my penis now upright. I cover the gauze with vaseline and apply it horizontally across my penis. My penis sits upright under the gauze which is then stuck with medical tape to either side of my pelvis. I then put on a pair of briefs to hold it all in place. I lie on my back and side during the night, and with the vaseline I have not been woken up with erections (perhaps I have not had any yet?). The upright positioning of the penis in the moist gauze really helps to stop pain and friction, while also allowing air through the gap at the top of the gauze. The good thing is that the underside of the penis gets to be covered at night, while the top side is namely covered during the day.
Comments: With only two days into the process of healing I have had it relatively ok using the methods described above. It is interesting to read all of the contradictions written by doctors all over the internet, and also to compare them with the advice prescribed by my own doctor. Some doctors encourage having baths, while mine says no baths for a week after surgery. I intend on using an epsom salt wash in a cup on the fourth day of recovery, and a bath on day 7 just to be careful. Do not buy into the myth that a dry recovery is better. Letting your penis dry out and scab won't make it easier for you, it is a myth. Having a vaseline covered gauze will let your skin heal from the inside out.
