I have swelling under my armpit / upper chest area, I do not have any pain or discomfort, I noticed this last month 1 week before my period, it went down, and again this month before my period I noticed it again, I am large breasted, and wonder if it has to do with my bra's support. The swelling is soft to the touch, not lumpy at all, just a large area of swelling, I have a doc appointment 5/15, but I am very afraid of the cancer possibility, I am 36 years old.

If you are afraid of cancer you can always ask your doctor to test you for breast cancer with mammogram. However if this only comes when you are on your period I don’t think it is cancer. If it is cancer you should notice it all the time. This might be some benign cyst, or maybe a swollen lymph node. Is the swelling under both armpits or just one? It can be from bra’s support. It might irritate the area and therefore you are experiencing the swelling.
How old are you? Women in different age can experience different things in the same areas in the body. Is your period regular? Sometimes this can be a side effect from some medication.
