Look into Hereditary Angio Edema. I have the same problem as you. I have been doing some research and came across HAE. I'm going to have my doctor to test for it. This disorder is rare. I hope it helps you.

Hi, I am experiencing the same exact symptoms you are! I'm 24, active, healthy, and used to weight 105 pounds but now stuck at the weight of 130. I googled and found your post. Have you found a cause? I have the same problem and gained literally 100 pounds over a few years. I believe my problem is water-related. Specifically bathing or swimming. Heavy metal toxicity maybe? We installed a water filtration system and my hair loss resolved....swelling continued to decrease. I went on a vacation....showered in a hotel for 3 days and everything returned. Completely miserable! Have your water tested and if you don't mind, get back with me regarding results?

Hi guys, Im seeing the Dr. on thursday so Ill let you know what she says? But it is really starting to worry me? It getting worse and I thought it would just go away? Well that sure hasnt happened? I too had swelling and pain for several years and the doctors could not diagnose. One doctor even told me it was all in my head, even tho you could actually see that I was swollen! I FINALLY figured it out one day when a piece of sharp transvaginal mesh, (that was surgically implanted to control my bladder), eroded thru my skin. Come to find out, mesh is NOT inert in the human body! That means your body recognises it as a foreign body and tries to push it out. After all the mesh was surgically removed, the swelling IMMEDIATELY went away. This may not be your issue, but please think back if you've ever had anything implanted in your body... Hernia repair, bladder (incontinence) repair, organ prolapse repair... If you have, you may want to consider having it looked at.
