So I had thyroid issues (Graves) before all of this started. When my Graves disease went into remission (end of 2010-2011) my symptoms started (Jan 2011). I had everything listed, but my one weird thing is pain in the upper right quadrant, which gets worse with eating, especially gluten. Tested twice for Celiac but negative but even tiny amounts of it now give me a weird reaction. I get hives or a histamine like reaction, especially down my arms (not welts, but just red and puffy like an allergic reaction). Gluten-free helps but doesn't eliminate the problem. In some pictures my face is so bloated and unattractive I just want to die. I'm also at least 15-20 pounds heavier with bloating (it was up to 30 lbs when I was still eating gluten). The shift in water weight is pretty extreme. When I'm bloated it sucks the water from everywhere including my hair which seems to shrivel up (hard to explain but it frizzles, looking extremely die, and it's quick, not gradual). Stress makes it worse and my upper back sweats profusely from the spot I have pain in after eating, when I'm even mildly under pressure, even though my head feels calm and cool. I used to get fatigued after eating but it's better since cutting out all gluten and most starches. This started at 33 and I'm now 39. How depressing is that? I feel like I've aged a million years and my hair even went white in the temples. Every time I see a picture of me looking bloated I just die in disbelief and I've seen all sorts of specialists. They just rule out the obvious - I'm not celiac, my tsh is fine, and I had a ct scan of my kidneys which was fine. Rheumatologist said fibro, and I asked him if it was common to have a high CSR (inflammation marker) and he said no, but didn't change his opinion of the problem. I also seem to fluctuate from being epinephrine-domimant (constipated and can't sleep and feel buzzed all day) to norepinephrine-dominant (diarrhea, fatigued, extra bloated)/.
