I plan to use a 12 week mini marathon training program that would get me ready for my FIRST mini. My question is I have been on a pre-training program that consists of the following:
Rest, 3 mi, 4 mi, 4 mi, off, 3 mi, 5 mi.
I am still "new" into running and truly got my first case of shin splints and have been struggling. I am getting the rest and such that I need, but my question is, is there an alternative pre-training program and another one I should switch too instead of this one? I don't know if its my program thats too much to soon or if its just myself pushing too hard. Any advice, I would appreciate.
