When I was at the doctors, the doctor said it was ok to start the pill start away although usually, you take the first pill on the first day of your period. But it's ok because it's just to make sure that I'm not pregnant already.

But when I went to the pharmicist, they told me it is recommended to start on the first day of my period for maximum protection.

So I would like to know would it make that much difference? And .. when would my period come now? When it's suppose to come, which is in two weeks time from the first pill? Or, when I take the sugar pills?
When you start the pill on your period you are protected RIGHT THEN, immediately.

ANY other time that you start the pill requires 7 full days of its use to be effective.

You can start anytime, but you must allow 7 days before you are protected.
