Hi, I need some advise what to do when I am having terrible menstral cramps. I am trying to lie down and relax, but it troubles me anyway.

Hi, I can tell you from my own experience what works for me. But, I suppose that every woman is different so you will probably have to search for yourself. Try to do like this: by a box of raspberry leaf tea or make mixtures with mint, to relieve pain. I also use a hot pad, which is heated in the microwave. This provides me sleep if I am in great pain. You can take Anaprox, usually I take two to start. Also, you can try Tylenol with codeine. Sometimes, if cramps are not so strong you can take lower doses or do some mild exercise to stimulate blood flow and feel less pain.

I have had severe menstral cramps since starting my period when I was 12. I am now 45. I've never given birth. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis. Usually 2 days before my period begins, I take two ADVIL the liquid gels) which are much better on the stomach. Then by the time I start, I continue taking ADVIL 2 every 4-6 hours. Usually after the second day into the period...the pain is VERY tolerable if not under control completely..and my flow is lighter than normal.

I have noticed since being in my mid-40's that my periods aren't as long as they used to be. I used to flow hard for 10 days. Now I'm lucky if it lasts 5 days. My doctor suggested to me that ADVIL was the best to take because it actually slows your flow and reduces large clotting which is what actually causes terrible cramps.

Hope this helps! I certainly empathize with ANYone who endures this.

I remember when I was in my mid-teens. I would miss 2 days school in bed in so much pain.
