For testicular cancer, you are looking for a lump directly ON the testicule it would generally be small, and hard, but it would be ON the testi.

im getting a bit of aching in the botton/back of my testicles.its not really really painful but noticeable when im sitting down or not doing aything. it seems to alternate between each one. im 14 years old. have i got testicular cancer??

i think they are not very protruding and they appear on the smooth sides of the testicles and not on the top and back where the tubes are. Since you are only 13 i would not worry about it much, but if it is persistant ask your parents to scedule a doctors appointment for you. Good luck man, hope you do better :-)
