My 2 year old son went through testicle tortion surgery and lost his left testicle I am scared abt his life and health and growth please help

Hi Sangeeta,

You have NO need to worry.  His remaining testicle will compensate both for hormones for his development and for making sperm.

He can have a normal and healthy life - and be able to father children.

One testicle will compensate for the missing. You have no need to worry.

Thnx for assurance still I am confused that what precautions should we have to take for him and which specialist doc should I contact except that urologist who operated

Precautions? You mean for post-op?

There is nothing that you need to do long term. Once the incision heals there is no required care. He does not need any hormone therapy or other medication.

Lots of men, young and old, have lost a testicle to testicular torsion, trauma, or cancer. They live a normal life.

At some point he/you may elect to obtain a prosthetic testicle. While not functional it may improve his self - esteem by having "two balls."
