I have pain in the pad of my third toe (right foot).  It hurts when I walk..mostly when I step up.  It feels like something is moving in the pad of my toe...also, when I wear closed shoes and am on my feet for more than a few hours, my toes start to burn.  I was diagnosed with a Neuroma, and had surgery on it in early Dec-2013, but it feels like nothing was ever done!  I have orthopedic sneakers, and flops, which feel the best.  I can't squat down w/out having excruciating pain trying to get up.  Standing on tip toes is not an option.  My doctor says it's the nerve in my foot, not my toe, but I swear there is something going on in my toe.  It hurts to even touch the tip of it....like I'm touching an exposed nerve or something.  I am about at my wits end, because I can't function normally.  I've even told my doctor to just take off the toe, because it hurts so badly!...
