Wow..its interesting to see how many people have the same symptoms. I often have felt almost neurotic.
While I agree anxiety could be a factor I have personally had some success in finding out some imbalances in my body and maybe this will be helpful to you.
I recently found a Dr. that is trained in Cengenics ( living longer ) and he does hormone testing, vitamin testing etc....its very extensive.

While I have had issues with my thyroid and adrenal glands I found out that through over the counter glandular support at health food stores that I pretty much had regulated that problem in fact i was slightly over regulating so the tests helped me to know how much to take, but I am still feeling malaise and no energy.

My testing which I just got this week, indicated that I was extremely low on testosterone and in DHEA, both of which are important factors in energy and overall immune health. My test also indicated that I was borderline anemic....I think this may be due to a vitamin b12 deficiency personally, so he prescribed cream from a compound pharmacy for the testosterone. Prescription grade DHEA and I will start taking Vitamin B12 shots...
I am very excited to know about these deficiencies and hope that it will make a big difference. I recommend finding an internist or a anti aging dr that does the same testing. Ordinary endocrinologists and obgyn's aren't trained in these areas so won't test typically

Look up the symptoms for mold. I have been experiencing all these same symptoms for quite sometime. No doctor was able to diagnose it, but once I looked up the symptoms of mold, I knew that was what it was. I have every single one of them, and I know of visible mold in my apartment. You may not know that you have mold in your home. It can be in the walls, carpets, etc. I recommend seeing an allergy specialist, which I still have not done. But my friends daughter went through the same thing, and they were able to help. I hope that this helps some of you. Especially the ones that say it goes away when they are away from home, and comes back once they get back...

If you haven't tried this yet. Change your diet. Most people who all the sudden feel drained, tired and light headed do so because they are not eating properly. Have you changed your eating habits at all recently? If so try to eat more, I know it sounds odd but when I lost weight I went on a strict 2000 calorie diet, I constantly felt depressed, tired and light headed. So I went to a 3500 calorie diet and I got better after a week or so.

perhaps the worse answer ever, people are talking about anxiety and you bring up cancer, cancer is always the least likely possibilty.

I'm also glad to see others feeling the same sensations as me. I basically feel light headed almost all the time and sometimes I have difficulty focusing. I also have had some instances of shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat. The rapid heartbeat seems to have gone away. I also read some articles online about how staring at a computer all day can mess up your vision and cause you to have blurred vision and possible light headedness. I do spend my work day staring at a pc all day long and wonder if thats causing some of this. I also haven't been to the eye doctor in quite some time. I may need to get my eyes checked. I agree with others that reading all the symptoms online can really scare you and probably add to your symptoms. Try and stay positive and think about when you usually feel the symptoms and maybe you'll see a pattern and can figure it out yourself. Here's hoping good health to you all....

Wow guys this is werid. I feel almost the same as all of you. My vision is totally whacked. It feels like im drunk or high 24/7. I also have ADD and Bipolar which im sure doesnt help. My eyes are fine, according to the doc and iv had various scans and blood tests. Just seems like theres no end to this. Theres a term for some of this. Its called Depersonalization. But that may be a little extreme.

hey guys....i know exactly what you guys are going through!!!! for the last 2 weeks are so, i had those EXACT symptoms. for whatever reason, i just couldn't figure what in the world was going on with me....i hadn't done anything so drastically different in my life other than breaking up with my gf of 1 year....but still, it's not like i was stressed about it! By any rate, something miraculous happened to me last night (Grace of God because according to my doctor, he doesn't know if what about tell you guys stopped it or if that had anything to do with it at all)....however, i thought i share this with you guys just in case it helps. early yesterday morning, i decided to do a little stomach detox with Saline Laxative.....so of course, the whole morning and part of the afternoon, i was flushing everything out of my stomach on the toilet. Then, later on, still in agony (lightheadedness, dizzy, on-off stomach pain, feeling fatigue ect.....everything you guys are talking about), i decided to go out to eat with a friend of my last night (an italian restaurant)....when i got there i order pasta, with shrimps and mussels....guys with all truth and honesty, almost as soon as i finished my diner plate, paid and proceeded to walk out of the restaurant, EVERYTHING STOPPED almost immediately!!!! - i don't know what happened because all i remember was not feeling ANYTHING for the rest of the entire night - got up this morning, NOTHING...no funny stomach feeling, no feeling crappy, sluggish, lightheadedness, blurry eye sight NOTHING (lost little bit of energy from the detox but it was different....more like how i've felt before when i haven't eaten in awhile). And the funny thing...the kicker...last week, in fear of this whole thing, i had my doctor done a myriad of tests (including HIV) and when i called him this morning for the results, guess what he said...i ddon't c anything WRONG with you, you don't have anything, all i'd tell you is to load on some vitamin C but that's all....mind you this is before i told him how i was feeling better (remember none of the stuff he'd presbribed did anything....i was taking those medicines for a whole week!!!)....so before i went to club last night, i decided to read that in the world is in the what i eat (escpecially mussels)...i came to find out, that thing is loaded to iron and a bunch of other things that are supposedly good for your health, immune system ect.....so, point of my story is, if all you've done has failed so far and nobody can't see to see what's the hell is wrong with u and u feel like something isn't right (cuz it's your body right!!!), did what i did...try those thing...i'm not sure which did the trick and the combination of all, whatever it is (of course i've been praying on this and trust GOD), it help me beyong belief and i thought id share it with you guys....i know what you're going through and trust me, it may just be something undetectable to professional's naked eyes...

God bless, feel better

I'm the next one to say... "Wow, these are the same symptoms that I've been having", and that "I'm glad I'm not alone"...

I am a trained medical doctor, and the symptoms are as much a mystery to me as they seem to be to everyone else.

There are common threads to most responses. We talk in detail about our symptoms, then the mutlitude of tests we've had (which in MOST cases have yielded no positive results), then a little statement of what we've tried, and then something about why this is a massive inconvenience to our lives.

It seems like we are a highly ANXIOUS bunch, and I think it's important that we don't rule out Anxitey/Depression/Panic attacks as the cause. I know it seems horrible to admit or even hypothesize that you may have a mental condition, but mental illnesses are almost the most common cause of illness in society (above cancer, cardiovascular disease or diabetes), and as the old medical saying goes: "Common things occur commonly".

Hence, talk to your doctor/GP about anxiety/depression. Treatment can be very easy, doesn't necessarily require medication, and is important to be dealt with earlier than later.

There are a few good threads which deal with anxiety in this forum that have helped me. Hope this helps someone else!

Recently I've been feeling lightheaded when I change my field of vision. Like many of you I jumped online looking for answers. Surprisingly enough I am finding through your feedback that many doctors are suggesting the symptoms are related to anxiety. I have been working through anxiety for the last 12-18 months. The only thing that has changed recently with my anxiety treatment is that I have to wait about a week for the refill of my (non-addictive) Citalopram prescrition.

One thing anxiety can do is disrupt one's breathing pattern. If you're breathing too much or too often, you're essentially hyperventilating. Over breathing causes a reduction in the amount of carbon dioxide in the blood and can lead to dizziness and numbness of the mouth and/or extremities. I can see clearly how a case of undiagnosed or untreated anxiety can lead to symptoms such as lightheadedness and blurred vision. Please note that I do take a prescription drug for ongoing maintenance of my anxiety, but there is much much more to my treatment than drugs. In fact, I no longer need to take many of the short term feel-good drugs such as Ativan. Instead I focus on the mental and physical side of anxiety treatment.

I'm headed to the pharmacist today - the script has been ready for a few days but they didn't call as expected :-)
I will be happy to report back if my regular use of Citalopram helps curb these strange new symptoms.
