My son is 2 and his foreskin is not folding back. His foreskin is not red or swollen. But I do not know why it wont fold back
Experts now say not to fold the foreskin back until a child reaches age three, if you must pull back the foreskin for whatever reason DO NOT force it. Some children's foreskin is not easily retractable until the age of 5. Talk to your doctor or health care provider before you attempt to pull back the skin in the penal area. If the head of the penis is not protected bacteria can seep in and cause infection or irritation to the area. To prevent this from happening, change diapers frequently, give a bath when dirty and before bed, clean diaper area well when changed.
In most cases, it should not be folding back yet. Don't try to push it back; eventually it will happen naturally.
