Hello everyone!
I just wanted to give some hope and positive vibes for those who are supposed to have tonsillectomy. When I read all the posts on this site, I was terrified. I was thinking of skipping that awfull procedure, and then I remembered my 7 antibiotic treatments in the last 3 months (the last one was Ceftriaxon) and realised that that is not an option. I consider myself very lucky. I had my surgery on June 27, and could talk and drink fluids the first day. Slept like a baby. Didn't take ANY pain meds, my ears didn't hurt at all, could drink, eat soft food and sing on the second day and tried solid food on the third. Today is the 7-th day post-op and I feel great. Hurts like a strep throat and even less. I have almost no food restrictions, except for the food with sharp edges. I returned to my normal life. All I want to say is that there are plenty of tonsillectomies that go ok with minore problems.

Please, everyone who also had some positive experiences with this surgery, write and tell your story. It will make a lot of other people feel good and less scared. Give them some hope. Things can go wrong but it doesn't mean that they have to go wrong. Think positive you are going to feel much better.
Good luck!
