I came to this site and read all these different thing about the surgery And everything sounded bad. I had my tonsils taken out 7-13-12 so yesterday. I have been in pain but not as bad as everyone says. As long as you are takin your meds on time including the antibiotics I seemed ok. I feel bad for everyone who is in pain. My doctor actually gave me a
Ice bag to put on my throat I have been doing that every hour for about 10 mins sometimes longer, it actually helps
Out pretty good. Best thing I can say so far that has helped is fluids fluids
Fluids! Yesterday I drank. 32oz of purple Sports drink like gatoraide and
4 water bottles of water sized 500ml. I feel the more liquid I drink the better I feel I haven't ran
A fever I know they say take tylenol and such but I haven't really had to.
Yesterday I actually ate a cheeto puff and let it dissolve in my mouth
And swolled it believe it or not it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it actually felt good on my throat.
I still haven't tried eating a lot I just don't really feel hungry. I can talk normal sometimes other times I sound odd. Doesnt hurt to talk. My taste is fine I can taste everything. from everything I read I must be one of the lucky ones but we will see I'm only on day two!!
Good luck to everyone having this surgery and or who is recovering!!!
