Dear MolinaElizabeth
There are lots of reasons for not getting pregnant whether or not you have had a baby previously, and if so, whether delivered vaginally or by c-section. Has your ob/gyn given any advice about future conceptions? The best time to get pregnant again can vary from woman to woman, so talk to your healthcare provider about your specific circumstances.
The make-up of your vagina secretions, the health and strength of your husband's sperm and the timing of your attempts all have an impact. Are you having intercourse in your fertile days? Dates are important! Also, how often does he ejaculate? It may be too often.
As a general rule, it is considered you should not try to conceive again for 1.5 to 2 years (which is about the same as recommended for women who deliver vaginally). You have just had major surgery in addition to giving birth and you need to let your body recover and replenish lost nutrients. Iron is transferred to your baby and placenta during pregnancy; there is blood loss suffered during childbirth (twice as much as women who deliver vaginally). It may be that your body is recognising its unreadiness for pregnancy just now. Anyway, by giving yourself plenty of time to heal, you'll give your next baby a better start in life.
I think it is too early to be sure there may be "something wrong" with you, but if you are still concerned, then contact your healthcare provider.
I hope this helps.
