not the drugs your thinking about but natural med drug.
its a tv series and its very interesting show.
Shows u how to make remedy people used to make back in the days to centries ago.
Anyways getting back to the solution i'm pretty sure it was the first show but this guy makes kinda like a pillow case and u fill it up with lavender.
lavender is known to help u sleep and people have been using this for that purpose for thousands of years.
so u make a beg fill it up with lavender and put it near your pillow and it will help u sleep.
But i urge u guys to see the show and get a better visual of what i'm talking about.
also keep in mind its better than taking sleeping pills since its all natural here.
i also notice when u take sleeping pills, and get up in the morning u feel completely c**p.
i also notice weed does this for u specially if u smoke it rite before u pass out and in the morning u are one moody clown.
i didn;t realize this until people that i live with started saying i was being too much in the morninng.
well i myself haven't tried it yet but imma get a lavender tmr because i quit smoking as of yesterday and its only been one day and i freakin can't sleep already...
reason why i quit ? simply makes u too lazy.

It's been 30 days since I smoked. I smoked pot every day since I was 16 and now I'm almost 50. These dreams are driving me crazy. When will they stop? They are nightmares. I wake up sweating and almost crying.

just quit after 15 years of steady smoking. i stay pretty busy during the day as it is, so no problems there. but im not sleeping through the night, often waking up every couple of hours. and just like most of you have said, the dreams are simply crazy! luckily, im not having nightmares, and id consider the dreams to be a huge net positive effect! but the not sleeping is killing me. I have to start my day at 4:30, and getting a couple hours of good sleep is just not gonna work.
ive been using benadryl, and it helps a little. the posts above mentioning breathing exercises and a single glass of red wine is a great idea! ive also been trying to force myself into thinking about a calming situation, like a gently flowing stream in a forest or a quiet highway at nighttime. that helps put me to sleep, but its not keeping me out.

Firstly, the whole not sleeping thing is because weed SEDATES you, and your brain is so used to being sedated and falling asleep that it now cannot fall asleep without that amount of sedation. I was in hospital not long ago for other reasons and they quizzed me on my smoking, i UNDERexaggerated how much i was smoking (which is not a good idea) and they gave me 4mg diazpam? or however its spelt... anyway, these pills did NOTHING for me and they are sedatives. a normal person taking 4mg of this drug would be completely dozy and drowsy - i felt nothing.
Ive then gone onto sleeping pills (if i could remember their name i would tell you) just got them from the doctors, said i couldnt sleep. First time i quit with these it took one pill, second time i quit it took two pills to set me off. but you DONT wake up feeling any worse than you do when you've been blazing 24/7 and you actually get quite a decent, satisfying sleep. (and if you have some to spare you can have some fun with them too haha)
When i first seriously and properly quit i got myself some anti depressants as well as sleeping pills. Alot of you guys may not want to accept this but your smoking habit is more than likely caused by an underlying problem. Most people dont feel the need to smoke spliffs all day long, or even smoke in once a weekend, it shouldnt APPEAL to us. but it does. and its because we all have a big hole that needs filling, while others turn to self harm, alcohol, starvation, spending excessive amounts of money etc, we choose a joint. (and maybe one of these to go hand in hand with it) of course our 'addiction' and i'd rather call it a dependance, is a problem but the fact that we feel the need to smoke is an even bigger issue to consider!
Anyway, obviously i'm on this website because my quitting attempts havent worked... i stopped taking my anti depressants about 4 weeks in, unfortunately im quite a lazy person anyway and couldnt keep up with it. a week after not taking my anti depressants i had an argument with my mum and ended up picking up and smoking. and i dont know about you, but if im quitting and i have a joint thats it, ive failed. i may as well carry on.

Mmm k so I heard that alcohol helps you fall asleep... now I'm drunk, still can't fall asleep... but... i don't care (right now) that i can't fall asleep. It's 6:50am and my alarm goes off at 9:50am X{ ... then i work 12hrs from 3pm to 11pm. I quit weed two days ago and definitely have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms yesterday and on. I have toooo much energy and my alertness has been scatterbrain. I hear it takes 1-3 weeks to detox off weed. I'm tempted to get a prescription to sleeping meds, but I hear it'll just be another thing you have to withdraw from. And mmm, meds cost like at an avg. of $70 bucks here vs. a quarter of weed for like $50. I wonder which one would be worse to withdraw off from. Kinda a sad question huh :-P

Hello guys, i got the same problem :/ I had problems sleeping before i started smoking, and now i have smoked heavly for 3 years. and im only 19 years. Got no adducation becasuse of weed. Meruijuana have realy changed my life. From the poppular guy to the worst guy. Everyone where I live here in Norway basicly hate me. But now I put a limit on how far this can go. I have to stop, I have tried several times and Failed. Because I only have stoner friends, and it is impossible for me to find me some new ones without having to move. This makes it extremely difficulty. Especially when I have presentation anxiety already.
This time I will force my self trough this two hell weeks, no matter if I can't not sleep or eat, trying to trick my mind that after this hell week all will be fine, and it will, but its hard to belive now :/

I just smoked and hopped on Google, landed here. If I was gonna sleep I had to smoke a little. Maybe that's the key. We should wane ourselves off of it. So, I'm just gonna fill that bowl a little less.

Ive given up the weed, and the solid, after 23 years of being stoned, and im soooo pleased that i did.. Ive had alot of stuff going on in my life lately which probably influenced me even more to give it up.. its been a few weeks now and i will be honest i have found it pretty easy.. I made a decision and i have stuck to it..
The only symptoms ive had is sweating more than normal. which is too be expected, im getting rid of all the toxins in my body...
If i can offer some advice is STICK TO YOUR GUNS... if you want to give it up,. It will happen. JUst percivere...believe in yourself !!

I'm from northern cali and i havent gone 2 days without smoking weed in 3 years. I'm now on my 4th day of sobriety (yee!), so this makes me very happy : ) but at the same time i CANNOT sleep; ive found drinking tea before bed to be very helpful but at the same time if i can't sleep after the first cup, that just leads to another which leads to another which leads to a sh*t ton of bathroom runs and a waste of my tea!.. is smoking before bed really that bad if i'm trying to quit all together for awhile?? please respond. peace. ?

Hi, I have the same problem and have even taken it to the extreme where i finally quit for good... i quit a few times for work and found that if i went on a holiday like a boys holiday stay off the weed get smashed all week and then u can easily sleep then n wen u get bk u got a week long hangover - first 2 weeks done!! it works! anyway i finally quit when i joint the army in 2007 been clean ever since

well this will be my last joint tonight been smoking on and off for three years now, its not bad in it's self i just can't controlle how i use it and now i'm kinda dependent on it and i don't want this but at the same time i hate not being able to sleep at night its driving me insane !! ah well perserverance i guess .....
it's funny though before smoking weed i never had any ambition to play a musical instrument and now i can't get enough of playing my guitar so i guess weed is a good thing just something to try for a bit and then move on
