Here are the tips I keep hearing from doctors and friends:
1. Excercise and be active during the day, regardless of how you feel. It will make sleep come easier at night and will raise the natural Dopamine levels in your brain (the pleasure chemical THC causes your brain to release).Connecting with friends, helping others, and spending time outside also helps raise natural Dopamine levels
2. Wake up at the same time everyday, even if you barely slept. And even if you didn't get any sleep at all, don't nap during the day--just wait until nighttime to fall asleep
3. If you find yourself just staring at the celining at night, force yourself to get up and accomplish as much as you can until you collapse
4. Before bed, turn off all lights and do not watch tv or go on your computer. Read a book, play relaxing music, or try a natural sleep aid like melatonin or chamomile tea.
I'm in the same place--I haven't gone more than 3 days without smoking in the past 4 years, but am trying to quit it cold turkey. I actually got hooked on pot and sleeping pills in an effort to self medicate my sleeping problems, but my substance abuse led to it being more of a negative force in my life than anything. I know plenty of heavy pot smokers who have successfully quit, and we can all do it with self discipline and patience.

The only reason I quite smoking weed is because I'm going back to work at a dangerous job where I need to be clean, been up for days, weed is natural, it is ok, f**k
