There's this guy I like. It's hard because I don't know if he likes me back, we live about 3 1/2 hours away from each other and I would like to ask him out in person instead of like Facebook or texting or whatever but I don't know when I'm going to see him again, so I'd like opinions on this as soon as possible. :) I am homeschooled and he is public schooled so our schedules clash a lot which makes it hard to even talk to him to him and we always end up texting about random things that happened during the day or Doctor Who. I know almost every thing about him and he know almost every thing about me, I would really like to be his girlfriend but I don't know how to ask him if he wants to date me or how to get my parents to let me date or if I actually manage to do both of those and have them say yes, I don't know how to make a LDR work. Does anybody have input on this?

Hey Number4of9kids,

Long distance relationships are tough but if you work at them it can go well. If you want to ask him if he wants to date you face to face try to match up some time off on both schedules and meet up. If you can't then a phonecall is the next best thing. If you want to ask your parents first if you're allowed to date then it'll probably be best to speak to them and tell them about this guy and what you intend to do (At the end of the day, if you ask him to date you and he says yes, then your parents turn around and say you're not allowed to date, it'll be bad!).

I've never had a long distance relationship but in my honest opinion three things are the most important factors, as they are in any relationship... Love, Trust and Communication (LTC). Without those no relationship can work regardless of distance. If you trust him and he trusts you, if you can communicate your feelings to each other and love each other then you'll have a good shot at making it work!

I hope I've helped. If you want to talk to me about this just send me a message!
