One is immediate response but it os effect is temporary. The second is the real cure but will see results not before 10 days.

2. The real cure is black seed oil. Nagella Sativa. Take one table spoon of the oil daily. Make sire you get a good quality cold pressed. It os very important to get a cold pressed one.

I think the question would be what changed in your diet ?
Although Splenda (sugar substitute - Meltadextrin & Sucralose) is not researched, the rumor is it can cause intestinal cancer.

I have this problem that started after bad constipation. I would go once a week and it was a very large movement, not to mention painful. So large it caused bleeding. I was thinking that might have a significant part of the problem. Does anyone else have info on this aspect? Thank you.

I hope this helps people here. The inability of Doctors and Specialists to help diagnose and solve this problem is baffling.
I too have been struggling for at least 6 years now. I have been through at least a dozen band ligations and countless visits to the Doctors office. I see a specialist in Bosto. I have explained my symptoms, problem and also cadence of the issues. Swelling, pain, bleeding, discharge. I have asked about alternative treatments with little suggestions back. I do give my Doctor credit for telling me that survey is a last painful and non-guaranteed option. In fact, he assured it could make matters worse.

I took it upon myself to try some things.

First:

1) Citrucel. I mix it in a bottle of water twice a day.
2) I started cleaning with Tucks after movements, usually only bloody ones
3) I started elevating my feet when on the toilet
4) bought a squatty potty
5) the real breakthrough was when i had to replace my toilet bowl. UNBELIEVABLE. We went to a round bowl design and that made a huge difference. So much that the oatmeal consistency disappeared, I became more frequent and the bleeding ceased over time.
6) THEN....i thought why stop there....it had to be the design of the bowl and the way it supported my bottom. So I started crapping with the seat in the up position and directly on the ceramic. No squatty potty and you would not believe the difference. This all transpired over about 8 months. I still use the Citrucel and use Tucks at the first sign of painful swelling.

Sure the ceramic is uncomfortable...but it is not painful like the movements and the after effects and my movements are free and easy. So far so good for months now. I hope this continues and may help others.

For two years I had problems with soiling for the next 12-14 hours after bowel movement. Excactly the same symptoms as many of you have explained. Over these two years i went through alot of examinations like MRI, defecography, anoscopy, etc. None of the doctors found anything that could explain my problems. Until finally, a proctologist discovered that my internal anal sphinchers are shorter than what is normal. This creates i small cavity i my rectum where feces get stuck during bowel movements. During the day, these feces leaks out, until the rectum is empty, after many hours.

The solution the proctololist suggested are not very pleasent, but it gives a 100 per cent relief of all my symptoms. What she told me to do is this: After bowel movement, put on a disposable glove, wet your finger with water, stick it up your rectum, and carefully dig out the feces. I have done this for a year now, and have not once experienced the horrible daily soiling that I lived with for two years. It's definitely worth the unpleasantness of putting my finger up my rectum daily. Could be worth a try for you guys as well.

When did your issues start? I've been struggling with this issue for a decade as well. My issues started following a Ciprofloaxin treatment.

I want to say I am now 4 days “clean” from this same issue after being and daily sufferer for over 6 years. Mine started about a month after I developed pneumonia, I was a very heavy drinker at the time and drank daily. That combined with antibiotics, I believe, caused a yeast (Candida) overgrowth in my stomach (looking back on it now). My symptoms started roughly three weeks after my antibiotics were complete and I have been a daily sufferer since. I happened to have a fungal skin infection and was prescribed an oral medication named Fluconazole. Up to this point I was a constipation sufferer, terrible bloating and gas and would have to clean up every few hours, especially if I was doing any sort of strenuous activity after having a BM for the day. After reading this thread, I realized what was happening in my body. I originally had no intention of taking this medicine due to the topical cream I was taking, but I did some research and saw it was what doctors prescribed for Candida overgrowth. So I took a some recommendations from here and ramped up my fiber intake, cut all sugar and took the pill. The next two days I had about 8 BM’s that were terrible and rancid, then I woke up day #3 and I was clean, and happy to say I’ve been clean 4 days straight without even a touch up. Anyone who suffers from this as I did, feel free to ask me any questions you may have. This was making me terribly distressed and depressed and it was taking the things away from me that I absolutely loved to do. I hope my advice helps someone here

Glad to hear you're on the mend! My story in similar to yours. My issues immediately began after a course of Ciprofloxacin in 2012. Each time I describe my issues to the various doctors, they always dismiss my correlation to my leaky bottom and Cipro. While i was taking the Cipro, I too was drinking while I was on the medication. I don't drink often, but I had a couple nights where I excessively celebrated by consuming a bunch of "cold ones". I always wondered if that had contributed to the leaky side effects? I've always suspected Candida as well. But no tests or results have pointed to a candida overgrowth. Like you, I have been off sugar for a couple of years. I'd say my symptoms have improved but only slightly. Battling this not for nearly 10 years, I've noticed the leaking stems from an incomplete BM. A previous post on this site (5th one up) mentioned a proctologist suggested to dig the remaining feces out, and apparently this offered relief. I took a different approach, I give myself an enigma in the shower to evacuate remaining feces and it works famously! TMI I know...but hopefully this technique can help someone. To your point, struggling with this is depressing. I have another follow-up appointment with a proctologist in a few weeks, and I won't walk out of there without a prescription of Flucoazole. I'll fist fight someone for this prescription! What kind of skin/fungal infection did you have when you were prescribed Flucoazole?

It was called tinea versicolor, it’s very common in more tropical climates. If it’s not candida it has to be some other yeast that’s easily grown from alcohol consumption while on the antibiotics. With that medicine I also started daily doses of a high end probiotic. I got Florajen from Walgreens, and more specifically the digestive tract specific one. I’m taking that every morning. I’ve also been doing a heaping tablespoon of metimusal, one in the morning and evening. One thing I’ve focused the hardest on this week is having “clean wipe poops” it’s a real thing, look it up. Another thing I’ve done is an elimination diet. Along with no added sugar I eliminated most fruit, dairy and gluten. I’ve added the fruit and dairy back without issue and will add gluten back next week. I’m one week clean and hope to keep it that way. Keep me updated.

Thank you for the info, much appreciated. As mentioned, I have a follow-up appointment next month. I'm sick of describing my symptoms, explaining the whole story, and have the Doctor completely dismiss my claim that Cipro caused this ailment. At any rate, I'm going to request giving Flucoazole a shot. I'll let you know if it works for me as well.

As an update, my symptoms have started to slowly come back but much less severe than before. I’ve gone to see a “holistic” doctor. They are testing my stool for a whole spectrum of overgrowth, infections and inflammatory markers. They are as convinced as I am that this is all stemming from a fungus overgrowth due to the antibiotics.

I have had the same issue for years. If I am not mistaken. Your feces is between the 2 muscles at the hole. Once you begin walking. It forces it to be ejected. I have begun using preparation H ointment for a final clean. Then 30 minutes later wiping once again.
