I feel like everyone is saying the same thing here! I'm 22 and also used to get this all the time, and now I get it infrequently. Nothing bad happens except everything all of a sudden feels like it's in fast-forward even I know rationally that everything is normal. I wish we could find out more about this feeling! It would be so nice to know why it happens.

I use to get this a lot when I was younger it has calmed down to about threepenny four times a year now. It's as if time has slowed down for your brain but your body and the rest of the world continue to move only to you it is faster and more intenified. Sounds become harsher also. They only last about 5-10 minutes but I feel as if I am getting boxed in by everything around me. It is trippy and scary as hell.

Hi I am a 30yr old male and gotten these "UNUSUAL FAST FEALINGS" since I was around 7, I did talk with my Doctor awhile back and he said it's just due to lack of OXYGEN to the Brain..Was never really satisfied with that but, He said it was nothing to be concerned about..

Wow I feel really good about knowing that other people deal with it too. Im 19 and I remember getting it as a child also. I would have these super fast sensations in my head and it would be of the wierdest things. About 10 minutes ago I just had one of me looking at my self shaking my head extremely fast. It was like something out of a scary movie. This even happens when I'm doing normal activities like writing or watching t.v. I always wondered what this was and it scares me sometimes. When I get out of this state of mind and I look around, I assume people realize what happened but they don't. Sometimes it can get extreemely creepy and I'm left in a daze. If anyone can give me a spacific reason for this please let me know. Last year I think i've gotten it about 3-4 times. Thank you.

This is unbelievable! Since I was a child, I experienced something similar that I called "pesters." The only way I can describe it is similar to yours. Only it was as if the inside of my body (head, chest etc) was moving a thousand times faster than the outside world. It feels like I have a race going on inside of me. Thoughts are racing, heart is racing, I can hear my pulse. Thoughts are random. And the outside ie: environment around me is moving at a normal pace. It makes me feel completely out of sync with what's around me. Back when I was a kid I called it pesters and just tried to deal with it. As an adult it's much more rare but when it happens it typically leads up to a mild anxiety attack.

This happens to me, or at least something similar does, although not exactly how people here are describing it.
It hasn't happened often, but the other night I was having a strange dream, when I woke up it happened. I could hear a really loud constant noise, and when I moved I seemed to move really fast even though I tried to be slow. I went to the toilet, and then got a drink. All of my movements were really loud. I was trying to be quiet so as not to wake my flatmate up, but everything was really loud. Even the smallest of noises. I'd try to walk slowly and I'd seem to be moving at running speed. Really weird. Thinking back, it was like my senses were heightened. It really freaked me out. It's only happened a few times before, and always after a weird dream.
Any explanations?

Yes I get this too! I was a little worried about and I told my friend and she said it could be dangerous or something! But yeah it happens to me, it only started and couple of months ago when I'm consious and moving around but when I was younger it used to be frequent as a dream. it tends to happen when nobody is around me and I feel like I'm doing things really fast when in fact I'm not. Im happy that I'm not the only one! Is there any technical name for this or anything?

ever since i was little i can remember distinctivly this feeling. all of my senses being  amplified aswell as my thoughts becoming louder and faster. most people have claimed it as the fast feeling. its a sense of everything becoming faster and louder almost like a panic(anxiety) attack but instead you are calm and aware of this feeling. i used to get frightened by this but ive learned its harmless.

it seems this only happens to a small amount of people and most of them have come here on the internet in search of an explanation. i know im just a random guest here on an old forum but if anyone reads this i would really like to get a page or group that wants to discuss this and find out more about it.

I am 16 years old and this is starting to happen at least every day now. Its like I am urging to freak out but it feels like I am only freaking out inside. Its the same thing you're going through, but its getting to the point where I cant work on school work or concentrate on things.

Hi, I have this as well. I've had it for years. I used to get it really bad as a kid but it had gone away for awhile. Then we had a friends bday party at my house I have a bum knee that needs to be replaced just havent found a dr willing to do the surgery yet. Well my knee gave way & I was out front by my moms car & fell well when I sat up there was a bolt above her wheel well & I cracked my head on it. We thought that was it but had to call 911Cause they couldn't stop the bleeding it turned out it punctured the main artery in my head (they call it the million dollar hit cause its so hard to hit it go figure) so I got rushed to the ER & had quick surgery in the ER to close it up. I had a concussion & a nasty headache but I'm very lucky that people were around me & my hubby knew what to do or I wouldn't have made it. I'm ok they did a CT scan & I saw my reg dr. I went to my Neuro & he an EMG & a few other tests & possibly re do the CT. My vision has gotten weird about 5 times, my migraines have gone from almost non existent to aprox 4x a week & now I'm having what my Neuro thinks is a type of awake seizure where I'm wide awake & look fine to you but it's like the world has sped up to me. It can last anywhere from 2 mins to 35 mins. I had an test done & it came back weird it showed that I could have a awake type of seizure so they need to redo it I go see my Nero on the 28th of Feb. He uped my Topiramate & it was helping w/ the migraines & to keep the "fast feeling" away but it's started to oncrease, this last episodic lasted 35 mins. If I get any more info I will post it.
