ok, so over the corse of 2 years i have bin getting an odd sensation in my head, like a bolt of adrenaline that lasts no longer then a few seconds, when it happens my head starts to tilit forwards slightly, it doesnt bother me, it's just that over the past few months its bin a lot more freaquent, i dont want to waste a DRS time finding out info that i can get online...it seems im not alone from all the comment on hear, problem is, no 1 seems to have an answer?? i would ring a DR and ask, other problem i have is i dont trust the NHS as far as i can throw them, very few care, a majority just see it as a pay check' therefore a mojoirty seem to ''guess' the doiagnoses rather then listen and test.....has any 1 out there found a reason for this 'odd' problem?

Have you found anything about this on UK internet? I glue the exact same episodes, the feeling of being small in a huge room and everything in warp Speed. I can only find bulletin boards and forums of other people talking about their experiences. Please let me know if you have more info on this. What it really is and what causes it. Thank you..Kim .....

it's really diffcult to overcome from this problem fast frrling in head so 2 ideas come to mind and they are the impulsive (hyperactive) symptoms of ADHD versus Panic Disorder. In working with children with ADHD they are sometimes taught How Does Your Engine Run?, a way for children to notice when they are too reved up. Then they are taught calming strategies like those that you are using. What you describe is more like a typical Panic attack but you are not describing any anxiety trigger

This happened to me just now! It was triggered by sound! It feels like caios. Probably misspelled that lol. I am on lots of new medication with strange side effects like burning my mouth and causing me trouble sleeping! It feels like the noise is running around really fast in my head! Heart rate is fine, I am sitting still! Just get a funny feeling in my head for a few and then the noise seems to run fast in my head and now I am really sleepy! Strange!!

This is exactly what I experience. I used ot dream it first. I would dream that there were drumsticks being twirled like batons and they would start spinning faster and faster and faster until they were spinning so fast they were a blur, and then I would roll the end in my hand, but it would have cotton on it like a giant Q tip or something, and suddenly I could feel something tiny, like a grain of sand, and it felt so grating, irritating. And that sensation you mention like things feeling skinny to touch. I get it. I Googled this because I felt it just now. And I have only felt it once in the past few years ... and not before then since I was a child. All of a sudden it's this sensation of things screaming in extreme speed through my head in a way that I just can't explain but I feel my body on the outside, and everything in the external world is slow and still, and it makes no sense.

I just had this happen to me about 30nin ago. I've had it sense I can remember and I'm 16 now. It usually happens during the night when I'm trying to sleep or just tired. I was thinking about it while reading all the comments and stories and I came to a personal conclusion that my brain probably reaches the point were it thinks I'm asleep. I'm sorry If this is confusing. I got this idea from just simply waking up in the morning were it feels like you slept for just a while but in reality you slept for hours. I feel like my mind is in that state but I'm awake. Seems crazy but it's just an idea.

This just happen to me. Like you type fast, you walk fast, pour water fast but it looks you are doing just a normal speed but in your mind everything is so fast and you can have a toughts in miliseconds.
When I was in my 20s, it happens like once in blue moon, but after 4 or 5 years, it happen again. Im already 32 and I just thought about it the other day that thing happen to me, and now it happen. what is this thing happening? is this bad?

I have had this since I was younger and both of my children began complaining of this since they were 7. So strange. I have read that it has to do with an infection in the inner ear and I cure while fevered or ill. Also have read that it is another form of vertigo, which makes sense to me since now that I'm older I get the dizzy form if vertigo and haven't had the "fast feeling" in quite some time.

I've only had 3 experiences with that fast forward or my mind going on a roller coaster feeling and I'm 36 years old now and had one today after a long walk in very hot weather. The one that was the worst was when I was 16 and I was 7 months pregnant. My brain feels as if it goes on a roller coaster... Or someone hits a fast forward button. I have my own ideas of what it is. I won't get into that because normal ppl will think I'm crazy as hell. Lol. But I always see things more clearly after the episodes so it's a good thing.

YES noone else ever gets the touching thing either but i do too and when i play with the cord headphones! it's like, all my senses get amplified and it's kind of really scary. i feel like for me it's triggered a lot of the time by watching a repetitive motion like the windscreen wipers, or a fan

I don't think those two disorders is this. I've been researching this awhile and I don't know about everyone else on here, but it doesn't seem to be about visually seeing things smaller than they are at all. Feels more like an intense anxiety disorder where your own thoughts are racing and loud, even when you are sitting or walking slow. I can't seem to find a professional name for this 'fast feeling' syndrome.

I have this same feeling at 32 years old. I also had it when I was a kid. Ecerythig atarts to go really fast but your moving at a normal speed. The o ly thing that helps and make it go away in seconds is to watch tv. As soon as I do that everything goes back to normal. I thought I was the only one. Hope this helps

I have this too, I've had it since I was about 14 or 15, I'm 20 now. Had it for the first time in a while tonight, my thoughts went loud and fast, it felt like everything I heard was shouting at me. Weird. Would love to know what this is personally.
