It's probably endometriosis. I have it. It's the most painful thing ever. It hurts so bad to urinate or have any bowel movements. But only on my period. No pain outside of my period. They put me on birth control to stop the pain. Hope this helped.

I am 42 as well and had laparacopy for endo twelve weeks ago, nothing literary was found. i wear a belt below my belly it helps because this massive pain came after laparascopy and I cant lie on my left side up to now...very painful. Gynae, the surgeon he doesnot want to help he says he doesnt understand the pain and there is nothing he can do.
I feel very duped, especially that you pay for these operartions and when something goes wrong as it did in my case he denies responsibility. I am very frustrated and feel like not trusting doctors anymore. My advice out there if a doctor/gynae is asking for lap to check endo DONT DO IT!!!!!, usually it is not found and you are left with unexpalined pain from the surgery. PLEASE IF MY MESSAGE CAN SAVE SOMEONE OUT THERE DONT DO IT. THERE ARE OTHER TREATMENTS FOR ENDO...HORMONES ETC.

You described exactly what I experience monthly. This extreme pain started suddenly in December 2014 and is ongoing during my period. I usually have normal bearable cramping subsided by Motrin, but no painkiller have been able to kill this pain. I now have to take both motrin and midol for the extreme bloating, gas, and unusual cramping. Even with meds i'm still not able to resume my daily activities on the second day of my cycle. On the third day, I seem to release an insurmountable amount of gas which tends to relieve the "2nd day" pain. I finally went to see my gyn and had an ultrasound that revealed a fibroid and polyp growths on my cervic and other areas. I am having them removed to see if this would alleviate the pain. My sister experienced similar abdominal pain and discovered she had a fibroid located in a different area within the vaginal cavity. Get checked by your doctor and discuss the different methods used to detect these abnormal growths that cause severe pain and abnormal bleeding. Good luck.

I truly understand this condition. The pain is upper, so it's not really associated with cramps that are lower. In addition, the pain usually comes the second day of Menstruation. Hence, I'm sure it has to do with our hormones causing irritation of the stomach. I usually drink strong ginger tea, to help with the nausea. Unfortunately, pain meds do not help with the pain. It will irritate the stomach, as well as any digestion. So, I remedy the problem by emptying the stomach, making myself throw up during that gut-wrenching pain time. Praying for God to stop the pain, while I'm emptying the stomach gives a lot of relief.

The pain you are feeling is related to Endometriosis-you will have to Google this and look for images related to this-I have the same thing. The first two days of my period are very painful. Especially during urination or a bowel movement . I hope when you research this date information to helps. I was diagnosed by a doctor years ago when I went in for emergency surgery to remove a ectopic pregnancy-he said it was everywhere.

I have the bellybutton pain and only when my period comes. It hurts if I press up against anything like leaning over a counter. It hurts if I wear pants/jeans or anything that hits at my bellybutton. I have no idea why. And I notice lately within the past couple months the bloating is insane. I sometimes look pregnant but then once I'm a few days in or almost done with my period everything is normal again.

I'm having the same issue. It's happened to me before but not this painful and not all day. It's like if I cough or laugh or stretch out my abdomen, it feels like behind my bellybutton is being stretched and ripped.

I have pain the belly button every month for the last 10 yes . My therapist said it could be from having a fracture tailbone for so long and being misdiagnosed with IC. I ask few doctors and they just shrug.
Doctors is lazy and stupid.
