In 2012 after a 100 pound weight loss and two years of six day per week weight training I was in great shape but decided to have a full tummy talk to get rid of the flap. I absolutely loved my result my recovery was a breeze but 5 months post op I re injured a herniated disc in my back. a couple of months of physical therapy didn't help and it was keeping me out of the gym so I had back surgery. I recovered from that fairly quickly it was slow going at the gym but by August of 2013 I had leaned out considerably and was still very happy with my tummy tuck results. in October of 2013, 1 year from the TT, I fell and broke my wrist. this really sidelined me again from the gym and I admit I started stress eating, wasn't really careful with the diet and fast forward to today, total of three years since theTT, I gained 20 pounds and put on about 12 to 15 percent body fat. I decided to Google "can I come can a tummy tuck come undone" because I've been having what others have explained in thisthread, distension, bloating and a bulge in the upper AB. I assumed I had gained fat there and that it was pushing but it comes and goes and moves. around I wake up in the morning flat but right after breakfast there's a bulge. I never even thought to contact a plastic surgeon that it might have anything to do with theTT and the fat pushing through I don't know what the solution is. I don't know that I would have more surgery it's just very uncomfortable. I'm hoping that as I get this weight off again it will somehow dissipate or get better. After that this is visceral fat scares, the hell out of me because that's the bad fat and I don't know if I can be exercised away.

I don't know when you posted this, but it did give me hope. I'm just sitting here in tears and I hate the way I look. I've been exercising and the scales show no progress. This has gotten to bother me so bad that my son has noticed and I never buy new clothes and only leave the house if I have to. My self esteem has plummeted to nothing. I'm bigger than I've ever been in my life. I had the surgery to begin with to get rid of the pooch from 2 c sections.
Sometimes I feel punished for being vain enough to have the surgery.
I just want to feel better about myself. Thanks for giving me hope.

if it can't be fixed then embrace it, PIN UP DOLLS had the upper bulge and they rocked it. I have it and I embrace it, f**k it, nobody notices it but you. Enjoy it!

Same here. Had a tummy tuck almost 5 years ago and my upper belly swells to the point that it hurts and feels so tight that you could pop it with a pin! I did gain weight but the lower belly is still flat! I'm miserable and don't know what to do. My swelling even seems to cause me to lose my breath when I try to run for any distance over 200m! What is happening??

I bet you are beautiful. You want to look good like everyone else on this post. don't weigh yourself. Only measure once a month. You have the rest of your life to lose weight. You deserve to have a good life as much as anyone. Even the most beautiful sex god will one day lose her looks. Just worry abouy health more than looks and everything else will fall into place eventually.

Hi Everyone here, Yes, it seems that others like us have had the full tummy tuck with liposuction and later also have a rounded belly above the incision. I think we all have to decide to like ourselves this way, because, unless we want to really excercise, diet again, or have more surgery, this is the way it is. I had my surgery 8 months ago. I have healed well, scar looks good, but very numb below the belly button. Oh well, I am 58 years old an although still overweight, I will love myself this way.
