Hello, I am 41 years old male. Not long ago I was diagnosed chronical ureatitis. I have never had symptoms until last month, when started to have painful and burning urination. I also had itchiness and noticed mucus that came out of my penis. I have never noticed any problems before, and now am worried because they say that chronic form may lead to permanent problems. Can this be completely solved with medications?

There are many different causes of urethritis. If infection is caused by bacterium Escherichia coli, it is usually without complications. I think that infection can be completely cured with antibiotics, probably used for longer period, and with taking lots of fluids. I also have an advice for you to add a spoon of baking soda to a glass of water because it changes pH of urine and makes the burning less. There are also many antimicrobial herbs that are helpful in infections of urinary tract and are recommended to be used.
