I started with Utrogestan, and I would like to know how natural progesterone contained in Utrogestan is absorbed by the body when tablets are placed in vagina. I am taking the dose every 12 hours, I am not pregnant and I wasn’t on hormone therapy. I am 31 years old.
Study was conducted about that and several therapeutic protocols were tested. Vaginal administration of 100 mg of progesterone, 1 Urostregan tablet, resulted in an increase in blood progesterone levels within an hour but it reached its maximum level after 2-6 hours and lasted for 24 hours on average. The average level was 3.7ng/mg with a dose of 100mg/day (9.7ng/mg with a dose of 200mg/day).
Can a woman take utrogestan capsules even when she suspect she might be pregnant?
Can someone who took Utrogestan 200mg twice a day for 8 months have a post partum depression after birth?
