Hello! I am 27year-old female and I was diagnosed with vaginal infection 2 days ago. My gynecologist prescribed some antibiotics for me but my frind told me she used something called vagiguard and it helped her heaps-she said. What is this and should I use it?
Hi there! Yes, you could use vagiguard along with the antibiotics. Vagiguard is commercial preparation of acidophilus, a powder form of the friendly bacteria that live in our intestines. This powder reduces overgrow of yeast. You can get this powder ( or capsules ) at any nutrition store and you should use it as directed in the manual. Make sure you take it at least 7 days after the antibiotic treatment and after the symptoms have cleared.
