I think the Cytolytic Vaginosis post is helpful. The discharge we are all noticing is NOT NORMAL, it is copious and uncomfortable, and discomfort is not normal. I've been tested for yeast and UTI and STDs and it's all negative. I don't appear inflamed, but sexual activity burns and when I urinate it feels like a low grade UTI...only one that lasts for weeks!!! I gotta say that I am not super hip on the idea of baking soda in a douche...ugh...

I came across this post a couple of weeks ago and was relieved to know I was not the only one having these symptoms. Since then I have taken a more homeopathic route and have seen a 95% improvement in just 2-3 weeks. Sometimes we have to look outside of modern medicine! My problem intensified after having implanon removed...I thought it was just hormonal but it was disgusting as you may know! I contacted my natropathic Dr and she put me on a homeopathic regimen of unda 10, 21, and 48 10 drops of each twice per day. You can buy it online. It promotes detoxification and drainage of the of the female reproductive system (no side effects whatsoever). Along with this I started taking Bio V (google and buy online) and have seen amazing results. Sometimes our bodies just need to get away from all those nasty pharmaceuticals! Good luck.

I am 18 years old. I have had the same problem since I was 13. I do not understand why I am having the same symptoms as many of you because I am not sexually active, have never had a yeast infection, and I have done all of the suggestions for fixing the problem (except the meds). About two years ago I visited a gyno and she told me my body produced more yeast and it's normal. Having this problem for so long is frustrating. Any suggestions (since every doctor I have been to doesn't have a clue..)?

i am 28 and have recently noticed in the last four years a thick white discharge. I thought for a while it was the abortion that i had that changed the flora in my vagina forever. after reading the first post this was right around the time that I first got onto the pill. Ortho tri cyclen lo. I have been on this birth control now on and off for years and the same problem. thick white discharge, odorless and bitter to the taste. I have now concluded i am pretty sure that it is the birth control that is causing this. I dont have any stds and everything is normal. At least this is what the doctor tells me. I am now going to switch birth controls because i am pretty sure that this is the culprit.

I'm 22 years old and have been with the same partner for almost 2 years now. For about 8 months I have been noticing a thick white discharge on my underware and during sex. It has very little to no odor, and doesn't have a pattern of when it is thick and when there is less. It isn't any sort of yeast infection or vaginal infection. I've been checked for all STD's and infections. This year alone, I've been to a gynocologist three seperate times and every time she says she can not see anything but normal discharge. It is almost as if I can't get to the doctor on a day when it is bothersome. All she has said is that I am a little dry.
My main concern is for my partner and my sex life. 9 times out of 10 white lotion type discharge will cover his entire penis when we have sex. It dries out any natural lubrication I have. It actually starts to hurt him because it causes friction inside of my vagina, which in turn leads to less sex. We have tried many kinds of water based lubricants and it doesn't help, it only makes the friction worse shortly after using it. I do not feel sexy at all anymore because of this problem. He can't perform oral sex on me anymore because the discharge has a bitter taste.
I've been on Ortho-Tricyclen Lo for about 2 years now. Before that regular strength Orthi-Tricyclen. I know birth control pills can cause an increase in discharge. I also use Summers Eve non-scented hypo-alergenic feminine wash instead of regular body wash. I don't use a douche. I wear cotton underware. I have a slightly stressful job, which I know can contribute to increased discharge.
I just don't know what else to do. Would an IUD or some other form of non-hormonal birth control be any better? I've had yeast infections in the past. Is there some sort of medication I can take to decrease the discharge? Maybe a medication for lubrication? Is anyone else having this problem?
reading this is scary. my boyfriend thought that i wrote this. thats how similar my situation is to this. the dr never gives me any answers so im always left still wondering if this is normal? sex has been unpleasurable because as soon as my boyfriend of 2 years penetrates inside of me he gets his penis covered in a creamy white excessive discharge and then when he goes down on me he complains of it tasting bitter. its frustrating and these are my only symptoms. does any one have any answers because my dr says im normal.
Hi, I had this problem at / as well, my doctor told me to try using Boric Acid..I know its weird, but what you do is: You get capsules and put the Boric Acid in the capsule. You put these in your Vagina like when you use (yeast infection medicine). Use it daily after sex etc and it keeps the PH Balance normal and prevents infections of yeast etc. it works really really well! I went 4 years without a yeast infection after doing that

I have had similar symptoms for at least a year and have attempted many different treatment modalities. Within time i came to realize that my discharge was completely related to sexual activity. ie no sex = significantly less discharge, if any. I started to increase my daily water intake and saw minor improvement. About 2 weeks ago, i started probiotics and finally a SOLUTION. It had corrected my vaginal flora and i immediately saw a significant change in the amount and consistency of my vaginal discharge. It became thinner and closer to what i was accustomed to prior to the change. I realize that i will have to continue taking the probiotics if i want to continue engaging in sexual activities, but believe me, it's worth it.

I have similar symptoms and am 39 they have only occured in the last year. However unlike many who have postd I have an IUD so I dont think it is related to your birth controll. My husband is also grossed out by what is left on his penis after sex. I am just not satisified that there is not some kind of treatment for this!
