I have the same problems yet I am not on birthcontrol and I get really wet. Althoigh at times because of the discharge I hold my self back from getting turned because im constantly think about it..which then causes dryness. I insert my fingers to clean put the discharge when I am in the shower. And only wash with warm water.. No soap. Still havent found anything to cure this white thick discharge.

I have had the same thing in the past and now again. In the past, a nurse practioner found that I had a resistant yeast called Turolopsis. It rarely shows up on cultures. The treatment is boric acid. So that is why you might be getting some relief from the boric acid.

I'm 29 yrs old and haven't used birth control since I was 17. I am also in a two year relationship experiencing the same symptoms to a Tee. I've tried everything from changing my diet (no sugar, grains or dairy products). Peroxide douches, tea tree oil tampons, Iodine baths (this did help somewhat). But all these things also caused a slight irritation which also makes sex uncomfortable.

I am on NO medications but I had a minor surgery to marcupialize bartholin cysts about a year and a half ago which required me to take antibiotics. I gained a lot of weight after and it took about a year for me to get my energy levels back to normal.

I'm not sure if it's related but I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else has a similar recent history.

Maybe the 2 year relationship has something to do with it?

It is VERY likely that if you have already ruled out a yeast infection or any STD that it is your birth control causing this problem. I have only recently begun to take birth control again after a several year gap and the change was nearly instant. Prior to being back on BC my discharge was fairly normal (mostly clear and usually milky but not excessive around the time of ovulation) and I had been told that I tasted sweet when a partner would perform oral sex. After going back on Ortho tricyclen, the white discharge was excessive and very chunky and although there was no real smell, my boyfriend complained that the taste was very very sour and would actually burn his penis. This indicates a PH imbalance and excessive acidic properties in the vagina. I was fully tested for both a yeast infection and for all STDs and came up completed clean as I expected. I'm convinced that its the BC I'm on as I have never had this problem before and it arrived so suddenly and was so marked. I'm going to change brands and try a  low-estrogen dose or just look into an IUD and keep the hormones and chemicals out of my body.  I've also read that some diet changes (including coconut oil/water) can help alter vaginal acid and PH balance naturally. Don't underestimate how powerful birth control hormones can be.

DO NOT insert peroxide or garlic into your vagina as other posts have indicated. Talk to your doctor and investigate other BC options.

Garlic and peroxide are perfectly safe. I was encouraged by my naturopath to use them. Just use half peroxide/half filtered water.

Well I've read through just about every post and from what I can tell this thick/clumpy discharge is caused by:
hormonal imbalance
pH imbalance down there
poor nutrition (leads to pH imbalance)
allergies (to latex condoms or semen)-these can be easily solved through use of condoms/change in type of condom
Here's how we can fix this:
Reduce consumption of: sugar, alcohol and wheat.
Take probiotics (acidophilus) OR eat yogurt daily
take boric acid
see a nutritionist if necessary!!!
wash out the vagina with baking soda or peroxide which I am skeptical about because I KNOW that douching/cleaning inside the vagina can ultimately cause EXCESS discharge
My story: I am 18, I've had thick clumpy discharge for about a month or two. I haven't been getting my period and I am afraid to have sex because this condition is so embarrassing! I've started taking a 3 day yeast infection treatment, although after reading these posts I am convinced that the reason this occured was because I recently went on a strict vegan diet, in fact I stopped getting my period and I believe that my diet caused my hormones to get all out of whack. So although it isn't vegan I will start eating yogurt daily and take my own advice. I'll post my progress later. Good luck to you all ladies!

It's really frustrating that after reading 19 pages of posts, you can only find people experiencing the same problem for years without any medical solution.

My wife is also suffering from the same condition. She is 30 years old and she's never used any sort of BC pills. We usually use condom (same product for over 5 years). We were pretty happy with our sex life until some minor yeast infection happened and normally treated accordingly. After a while she started complaining of dryness, itching, etc. Her family doctor asked for a vaginal flora test and found no particular issues. He administered some sort of probiotic suppositories to releive her from previous symptoms. But it was the onset of a bigger problem..

After applying that probiotic the white, thick, acidic discharge started coming out of her vagina, not only but especially during sex. I try not to complain but she feels embarrassed all the time. It was quite sour once I did an oral job and it really burns my penis when remained all over the place. The only option we had was to use a douche right before sex at least to make it happen. It's not definitely a permanent solution and we are seeking for some reliable treatment. Since she had a really bad experience with her family doctor, she went to another doctor. But she cannot trust others as well. Our only suggestion for readers is that "be carefull about probiotics too". They may turn to your main concern if not administered right.

I started using a boric acid douche earlier this week and noticed some improvement. For the last two nights I have inserted a gelatin capsule filled with boric acid and a couple of drops of Vitamin E 400IU. This was a homemade concoction but the difference is night and day. I'm going to continue treating it this way for a few more days to be certain it's gone but my juices are clear and bountiful to put it bluntly.

Boric acid is a very mild acid of boron (which is alkaline). Of all the things I've tried, this has been the most successful with no irritation whatsoever. I highly suggest trying it.

I had this exact problem, and when I found this website I was so pleased to see it wasn't just me. I used an anti-fungal pessary treatment, Canestean Pessary, and it cleared it up with in a week. Completely back to how I used to be. I was tested for thrush at the doctors and it came back negative, but it worked non the less!

Hi, I had the same problem, my boyfriend called it "the wall of goo" because it hated it. I went to the gyno and he prescribe me tindamax 500 mg pills, taking 4 at the same time, for 2 days and terazole, a vaginal cream, for 3 days. He knew it wasn't a yeast infection. If you're in the miami area, I suggest you visit dr. Dominguez Bali. Anyways, hope that helps.

Hi,
I have posted here as a guest a while ago & i have had this for a year now. Boric acid helps but it's seems to be a temporary fix. Can you tell me how long the tindamax & terazole has worked for you? & how long did you have the wall of goo (perfect description) before u took the meds? Thanks for listing your dr's name. I will be paying him a visit. I just would be so happy to have this gone forever. Thx 4 the post and any other posts. This is something that really causes stress & problems in a lot of women's lives & drs don't seem 2 care but this is not normal.
