I had an abortion just over a year ago.
The problems didnt start straight away, maybe a few months and it is really getting me down.
I have really bad vaginal itching, i thought i had thrush so i tried a number of treatments etc over a few months and nothing has seemed to do the trick.
It is also bright red, very sore, swollen and feels like i am on fire down there.
I cant help but itch, i cannot sleep at night and sometimes find it hard to walk.
After doing some research on the net, even going to the DR doesnt sound very hopefull.
I am using VAGISIL at the moment, it is stopping me from itching but still not change with the pain.
I have also read somewhere about something called BV which sounds alot like what i have and with the abortion, could this be an infection from it??
Please can anyonehelp? or know of any good home remedies or creams etc.....

p.s, i also get lower abdominal pain which gets bad at time and sometimes worse during sex.
hi. i had similar problem, i had funny discharge so i decided to go to the gum clinic and get checked out when i did this the doctor said i had BV.. i was given antibiotics to take over a week... i am now off them and i am soo itchy down below im guessin it could be thrush..???

PLEASE GET TO A DOCTOR NOW! Take care of yourself. You can't go on with this discomfort level. Infections can spread or cause infertility if they are not treated. Don't put yourself in a position that will limit your options. I'm afraid that's what you are doing. The abortion history may complicate things for you, but you've got to find out what's going on or you may change your future. This is not something you want to be guessing about. Let me know how things turn out. Don't wait two weeks for an appointment. Insist on being seen right away.
