I’m going through this now and I can’t get any one to believe me that I have a parasite infection I can feel And see it moving under my skin, Even when using the bathroom. Labs are showing nothing my Doctor and husband think I’m nuts , my husband wants to divorce me unless I get psychiatric help even with photos of proof that there is something making me terribly sick, weight loss (a lot) skin lesions, a number of serious issues and I am afraid to say anything about it because I fear that the Doctor is going to just say I’m stressed and give me antidepressants like they have been doing I am really struggling here any suggestions?

Did you get an answer? My daughter had something similar recently. She thought she had an ingrown hair. We could feel something hard on the back of her head. We pulled it, because it was bothering her. It turned out to be a hard, plastic-like thing with what looked like 2 small hairs - very short and white. I saved it, but I don’t know what to do with it

I think this answer is only right by accident. The more you are stressed out, the less your body can fight them off and penetrate a usually strong barrier, your skin. But since these mites are acknowledged in the literature and among agricultural animals but then dismissed by doctors and everyone else usually that they know, people think they’re crazy. When you think you’re crazy and also when you’re not getting any support, it has a huge effect on your immune system. So that plus the stress from just feeling them and having to wash everything... it all just compounds. And gets out of control. And eventually you really are crazy. Don’t waste your time with doctors. Any of them. A veterinarian is more likely to believe you. Cats regularly have mites infestations causing widespread secondary infections, but people, no way! That’s crazy! Nutter! Doctors suck. Or every single one I’ve ever heard about. So stress. And the point was that antipsychotics CAN help. Unfortunately. Anything that reduces stress. Not saying that’s all it takes at all. It really is hell to get rid of these things. Check your ceilings for any cracks. Seal them. Bird mites are some terrible ones that get in the house. Vacuum any spider webs. And anything you do, do it fast and do a lot of it. And then prepare for the backlash. Disturbing them will bring them out even more. Oh god. I hope it doesn’t get this bad again. I seriously don’t know if I can take it. Just clean clean clean. Try lots of things because there are lots of kinds of mites. DO NOT STUDY THEM air get obsessed with figuring out what they are. Unless you are strong and know that you know what you know, you will go insane. Secondary infections can confuse the overall picture along with dust and fungus and a million other things. It’s so tempting(for me) but forget about it. Just clean. Apple cider vinegar may not work forever to get rid of them, but if you need a break because you’re about to just set your house on fire, and douse yourself in pesticides and walk away from the whole thing, take a shower and pour apple cider vinegar everywhere. It burns a little. Your eyes. Like alcohol kind of. It’s just the fumes, it’s not damaging anything. It could give you a night off when you’re in the toughest phases. Oh c**p. I just posted in the wrong forum. I do think they’re related. Sorry, was just in a forum about mites. So many people. What I said is still relevant. And I think doctors are scared of them. It really helps to not believe in them, to keep them away. As crazy as that sounds. So maybe doctors and everyone else are just trying to not go insane. I haven’t figured this one out. People are mysterious creatures. I don’t know what the hard hairs are. My cat has them. Again. I’ve seen them before. Maybe I’ll remember.
Oh. If you feel like just trying something, capstar could solve your problem. Depending on the problem. You can even look up tropical infestations and the main ingredient of this medicine, and see that they use it in other countries to force what are usually fly eggs out of people’s pores. But it’s a pesticide and wouldn’t be surprised if it kills just about any insect. Arachnids. Flies. It destroys their nervous system. They also use this stuff to get rid of pesticides in agriculture, and other large applications. And you can buy in at the pet store. Without a prescription. And a little of it goes a long way. Capstar. Or the generic is fine. It’s not that expensive. $20-$40 maybe? For 6 or 8 pills I think. They are used mostly on tiny tiny newborn kittens. Weak ones. For emergencies. When they have so many fleas they are going to die if you don’t get them off immediately. It works in half an hour. Sorry I’m all over the place but I’m a little rushed. I wanted to put information up though. So I apologize for the jumping around craziness. If I figure out the thick hairs I’ll be back.

Did you ever find an answer to this? I have had the same issue a few times in the last year... end up pulling out what feels and looks like a fish bone out of my skin.

I get them on my nose every so often. One on the tip of my nose and another on my nostril where my piercing used to be. It's always this white, stuff hair that hurts like hell when removed. I have no idea what caused it. It first started roughly a year ago.

I'm glad to say and thankful that I don't have any of the conditions mentioned in this forum but unfortunatly I am an unbiased witness to the unsavory conditions mentioned in this thread that is affecting my spouse. It's been going on for eight years now, she has seen many doctors and specialist including researchers. We have spent thousands of dollars on every type of medication, cream, pills, special diets you name it. Together we've done our own research and of course the condition called Morgellons always pops up, probably because there is nothing else to point the condition to. If you have it I'm sorry but your going to have to live with it, their is no cure. General Medical Practitioners are clueless the only hope is that one of the handful of researchers of this condition finds a miracle cure.

It all started when my spouse came in contact with a pesticide that required an emergency room visit for contact dermatitis. They prescribed her Medrol Dose Pack to alieviate her symptom. The following is a direct quote of this medications side effects "It decreases your immune system's response to various diseases to reduce symptoms such as swelling, pain, and allergic-type reactions. This medication is a corticosteroid hormone".

I don't think I'm to far off to say that persons with the skin crawl, sores, weird hairs coming out of nowhere shouldn't blame themselves or conspiricy theories like aliens or chem trails but should look at the behemouth pharmacuetical companies trying to make their products an every day part of our lives for their profit and gain.
After watching my wife lightly rub her arms and come away with a cup full of strange fiber like hairs seemingly out of know where I'm become determined to place blame were it should be "Big Corporate".

Some doctors even tried the psychosis treatment, neither one of us are so called "Delusional" we are both professionals in our fields and are just frustrated with the "status quo" and lack of answers. Call it Morgellons or what ever makes sense but something must done to help the thousands suffering from what ever this condition is. God Bless

Iwouldnt necessarily say its delusion. But ive had and keep having one of these, nd its true what they're saying.... a doctor cannot or will not identify what they are.... and believe me.. pulling a 2 inch worm like strand of micro fibers from your face that a doctor doesnt recognize will make you start to wonder.. . Im skeptical.. but ill do as they say and reaearch

Sounds like Demodex mites which almost everyone has but can be a pain when they get out of control and infestation.
