I have this too except that when it grew back the second time and I plucked it out and it didn't grow back I just have a large bump in the area of the white hair, but they aren't very long when pulled out of my arm and the bump feels like it not connected to my body and is just under my skin

Me and my wife and her 2 sons have the same thing that you are describing. I pluck the ones on my scrotum and they do the same as yours, if you don't get it, it goes back inside. I have it growing on my penis shaft also and all over my face and my body. My private area is really bad. They say that Turmeric Supplements will help. We are fixing to try it. We are going to buy some tomorrow. They sell them at Walmart

If it is a parasite, Ivermectin can help. It is cheap OTC at most feed stores and while meant for horses, it may help.

Not really. Or I should say not all. We finally got the 32 yo woman's complaint on film after using different type of shades with the lenses , it is almost like a spider silk but single strand. Strangest thing I have ever seen and she feels them all over , complaints of feeling them wrap around her head, body but it's not visible becasue it is so fine. It is visible now. Help from Microsoft Lens and lucky timing with her camera

Hello everyone,
You all might want to look up two things on wikipedia if you are not familiar with them: sebaceous glands and sebaceous filaments. There you will get illustrations as well as explanations of how they function within the layers of our skin, howbthey all conatin a hair and sebum. We have millions everywhere except the bottom of our feet and (can't remember but wikipedia will explain!). I have had debris coming out of the skin on my shoulders, back, legs - almost anywhere I apply lotion. I was alarmed until I realized that the whispy white hairs (typical of the hairs in sebaceous filaments) were keratin from the sebaceous glands/filaments....this included black spots, small gritty stuff. On Reddit, in the groups discussing Korean beauty trends, they discuss exfoliating with the goal of getting "grits" out of the skin. This is to make the skin softer and more beautiful. But this can lead to over exfoliation and could harm the skin. Gritting has been written up in magazines with doctors weighing in on the dangers. And indeed some women complain they have been harmed by over exfoliation and say the grits, whispy white hairs will not stop coming out of their skin.
In my case, when I asked doctors why I had many long hairs coming out of my back and shoulders they looked at me quizzically...so you think you have morgellons as if to imply I am insane. So asking doctors was a dead-end.
I have concluded that for what ever reason the sebaceous glands and filaments are breaking apart and what is largely keratin emerges from my skin - hairs that are whispy white or dark hairs. This could be hormonal or some malfunction/ disorder of the hair follicles within the skin(sebaceous glands). Pain is terrible and you should see a doctor regarding pain. The pain and swelling you describe could be many conditions - arthritic, circulation problems and not necessarily related to the whispy white hairs that may be from sebaceous glands. I have come to accept that I have hormonal imbalances that effects the hair follicles in my skin - every person has millions of sebaceous glands with hair follicles. Since I have treatable arthritic conditions, a clotting disorder etc. I go to doctors for those conditions without talking about what doctors find weird, like "strings" . I do not want to neglect getting care for these conditions.
I do not doubt that morgellons is a real condition. I just don't think that is what I have. It is so weird when the debris comes out of the skin - it can be frightening and it may feel like parasites when it might be a disorder of the hair follicles - mainly in the form of keratin. It might feel like it is moving but actually be from what I mention above. However people can get parasites and they should be swiftly treated . I would not advise that anyone take something like imervectin which can be toxic without the advice of a physician. Also picking at skin is very bad as this will leave scars so I hope no one does that. I don't know if this is helpful to anyone. No one should be in pain or frightened and doctors should listen and take their symptoms seriously. Doctors should also explain how skin functions, the many layers, how hairs lie within the skin...there is a lot of "stuff" inside our bodies if you look at medical illustrations or photos , so it should not surprise doctors when patients say whispy hairs emerge from their skin!

I also have expierence this and believe it is from your senses being over stimulated as well as possibly high stress or anxiety. When these white hard hair type things poke out of my skin it’s usually when slivers are resurfacing from an incident over the summer. Sliver will eventually work there way out mine seem to do it in rounds and this is my 3rd round of slivers coming out all over my body….. when i go through this is when the hard sticker type hair is Coming out on top of my nerves getting worked up from it as well.

I get the same thing and they have sometimes turned to these weird cysts that attach to nerves. If it’s as sore as you say I’d say it’s gonna grow into a cyst

I got one on my ring finger about ten years ago and it grew back a couple times after I pulled it out. Weird thing was how easily it came out when I pulled it, there was no follicle at the end and it looked and felt like one of those plastic tags you pull out of a new pair of pants or socks. Still have no clue what it was and it hasn’t happened since.

after moving into the home i am in now, i started to experience the same thing. i looked in my basement and saw that a portion of the ductwork or air ducts was removed and the missing section was replaced with fiberglass like insulation. the rolled to replace the missing aluminum ducts. the white fuzzy stuff to the inside. this was exactly the stuff that was stuck to my skin all over my body.
the other thing i experienced was the thing like a cat whisker. i could barely see it if at al. i pulled it from the tip of my nose from tipt o eyebrow and it cut like glass when i pulled on it. i did some research and my best guess with my limited information makes sense to me. it said it was fiber optic threads and that they do enormous damage inside the body once they work their way under the skin. if it is, then it would explain so mamy of the odd symptoms i began to have after moving here. my first clue was that i was looking disfigured in the face in every single photo i took. it made my face reflect light in a strange way. i hope this helps even though it is't good news. good luck!

Hello, Momboss85.

There are a few points to consider if you notice hard, white hairs or strings growing in the pubic area:

  1. Nature of Hair: Hair can sometimes feel coarse or hard due to a lack of moisture or from the presence of keratin. The thickness and texture of hair can change over time and with hormonal shifts.

  2. Pili Multigemini: This is a condition where multiple hair shafts emerge from a single hair follicle. These hairs can often feel thicker and more coarse than the surrounding hairs.

  3. Hormonal Changes: Changes in hormone levels, especially testosterone and estrogen, can influence hair growth and texture. Conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in women can lead to increased androgen levels, which might result in the growth of thicker, coarser hair in areas including the pubic region.

  4. Other Health Conditions: Some other underlying health conditions or syndromes could result in unusual hair growth. If you notice any additional symptoms or changes in your health, it's essential to discuss them with a healthcare professional.

  5. Removal: If you're bothered by these hairs, there are various hair removal methods, including trimming, shaving, waxing, and laser hair removal. It's essential to use safe practices to avoid skin irritation, cuts, or infections.

Have you been to the doctor yet? Do you have any feedback of what they might be?

Hi, nothing wrong with it as it can be good for summarizing answers of general knowledge, less prone to hallucinations, but have you used chat gpt or Bard for the summary? Especially the "a few points to consider" is their typical pattern, then a list follows. Especially for Bard.
Just curiousity.
