I always thought i had some sort of vulvodynia with my vaginismus. this has been for about 8 years (primary vulvodynia and vaginismus)But one day my labia minora looked lighter pink and much smaller and lighter/thinner . this was like 2-4 days before my period. it stayed like this untill about 3 days after period and slowly started to swell up again and now is swollen and red, very sensitive and has a very heavy feeling. its hard to wear anything but full back wide crotch underwear at this time.i have noticed it a few other times but the swelling dident decrease as much. And even when i noticed a big reduction it still looked maye a tiny bit swollen. It decreases in size alot . i looked it up and seen that swelling around ovulation is normal. But i am very swollen! it seems like since the swelling went down that time the swelling after was extra bad. i wonder: if i go on birth controll that stops ovulation or period and ovulation, would it therefore take away ovulation symptoms , as in take away swelling? i also have very bad irritability bloating and depression at the same time as the swelling. i have had this since i was around 13-14.i am 21.
