Had my son in feb 2016 right after got my tubes tied im packing on the pounds but eatting right!!! All in my belly and boobs ive struggled woth depression already now its ten times worse!!! I feel like i keep gaining and not looseing !!!! Wanting to get a reversal!!!! Just really pricey

I have had 4 children all c-section , after my first 3 were born I was walking the next day, and I walked out of the hospital looking like I had never even given birth. 6 years ago I came to Fl for what I was saposed to be 30-60 days tops, during the time I met my Now husband and father of my 4th child, Our chemistry was amazing, our sex life Great, & prior to getting pregnant with our now almost 4 yr old daughter ,I had been pregnant and we ended up losing a set of twins, My mom had always suggested the tubal ligation since my other 2 children's fathers are douce bags, ones doing life from a murder wrap, the other an extemley abusive and a sociapath. Well prior to having our beautiful daughter we got married, We were in love right? I was an exotic dancer with my own income & he was 10 years younger, Because our sex life was so great and the fact that my mom had been bothering to do it after each child, MY SCHEDULED C-SECTION & TUBAL LIGATION SURGERY WAS COMPLETELY BOTCHED, THIS ROUTINE PROCEDURE STARTHUSBANDT 2 PM AND END CLOSE TO 8 PM FROM THE NEEDLE BREAKING IN MY SPINE BEFORE IT WAS CATHIDERIZED , THEM HAVING TO DO THAT AGAIN, WHOOPY ANOTHER CRUNCHING SOUND AS A NEEDLE ENTERS MY SPINE TWICE., TO THEM GIVING ME A MEDICATION WITHOUT MY CONSENT WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS STILL INSIDE ME THAT WAS A PARALYTIC THAT COULD OF KILLED HER, LEAVING MY GASTROINTESTINAL SYSTEM OUT, EXPOSED AND WASNT PUT BACK TOGETHER CORRECTLY , INFACT MY INTESTINES ARE TWISTED, I CANT DIGEST HARDLY THE MOST BASIC OF FOODS, MOSTLY IM ON A LIQUID DIET, IT HURTS EVERY DAY , ITS CLAIMED MY HEALTH, IT AFFECTS MY DAUGHTER, REGARDLESS IF I HAVE ALWAYS HATED MYSELF & HAD NO SELF-ESTEEM , BUT NOW LOOKING AT WHO I WAS AND WHAT I AM NOW , I REGRET THAT TUBAL LIGATION , LISTENING TO MY MOMSCONSTANT NAGGING TO GET A TUBAL LIGATION & LISTENING TO HER , , & ALSO WANTING TO PRESERVE THE AMAZING SEX LIFE IN MY MARRIGE, WELL MY DAUGHTER IS NEARING 4 YRS OLD & SINCE HAVING HER, MY HUSBAND HASNT EVEN HELD ME OR TOUCHED ME, I DONT REMEMBER WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE HELD BUT I KNOW I MISS IT, I FINALLY GOT THE TRUTH BECAUSE THE UPPER ABDOMINAL DISTENTION IS UNATTRACTIVE TO HIM AND REGARDLESS THOUGH ITS NOT MY FAULT , ITS THE TRUTH , HE CANT EVEN BRING HIMSELF TO SHOW ME AFFECTION FOR 4 YRS I FINALLY GOT HIM TO GIVE ME AN ANSWER, & IT HURTS HOW SUPERFICIAL HIS REASONS ARE FOR NOT EVEN HOLDING ME, REGARDLES IF I STILL GET HIT ON BY BOTH MENB& WOMEN HE CANT SHOW ME LOVE, THE REST OF MY BODY IS NORMAL AND ATTRACTIVE MY UPPER ABDOMEN IS DISTENDED AND ITS NOT ATTRACTIVE AND SEXY TO HIM, IM LONLEY ISOLATED BECAUSE I CHOSE TO STAY HERE WITH HIM INSTEAD OF RETURNING HOME, THE PHYSICAL RISKS OF A TUBAL LIGATION NOT ONLY HAS EXTREME PHYSICAL RISKS AND PAINFUL SIDE EFFECTS BUT THE EMOTIONAL RISKS R TEN TIME WORSE & WHAT IT DOES TO YOUR LIFE IS A,HURT PIECE I WOULDN'T WISH IT ON MY ENEMY..... Sorry so long! NyAsiaknows only the luv from my 3 yr old its really hard, I feel alone & my daughter keeps me going , I used to have the glimmer of hope about being held again, the hope is gone

Possible explanation for the weight gain: I have a degree in biology and discussed this procedure with my doctor. So even after tubal ligation, a women’s body still drops eggs to be fertilized. And when that egg is unfertilized it still makes the decent to exit the body, hence is why we have periods. When asked where the egg goes if it can no longer exit the body, she said that my body will actually absorb it and it will be broken down. Meaning, the egg and the fluid it travels in is no longer exiting the body but is now being released into body to be broken down by our own cells. This would thus explain why we see most of the weight gain in the abdomen area, because of the egg that is no longer exiting the body and the fluid it travels in. Hope this helps.

Im gaining weight my tubal ligation...i cannot sleepwell...i have bad odor on my vagina.i feel dryness...what should i do...?i feel pain my shoulder...

I have 2 boys,my first born in 2009 I was in shape after he was born.I got on mirena then I had trouble with it,then depot shot was making me fat and dizzy so I got off that,then 2015 I had my second child.After my tubes tied and I have been bloated ever since 2017,but it is 2018 and my stomach is getting smaller all because of exersising,waste trainer,water,greentea,cranberryand grapejuice and eating heathier food!And no beef or no pork..Only,fish,shrimpchicken and turkey.

I had TL Oct 2016. I weighed 135 & wore a size 2 jeans at the time. I have yet to wear that size again. I came out of surgery with a big belly which I assumed was the gas that's used but my belly never flattened. I gained 30 pounds within about 2 months & ending up at 180 at the present time. I changed my eating habits, which weren't that bad to begin with & honestly after surgery my appetite changed; nothing sounds good, so there have been days I barely eat.
I even voiced these concerns & more to the dr & specifically asked if it could be post tubal ligation syndrome to which I got a big fat "NO, there's no such thing." I even went to Univ of Mich & was told the same thing. I'm to my wits end; can't lose weight, can't breathe right, bouts of high blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, incontinence & recently had to undergo another surgery to repair the 3 umbilical hernias due to the dr removing the trochar improperly during TL surgery. It's all a total mess & these dr's need to listen & do a lil research if they're not familiar with PTLS because it is thing!!

I had my tubes removed March 2017. I gained 20 pounds after the procedure. I have tried cardio, eating healthier, walking... nothing has worked.

I can identify with your post best and I had a tl in 2007 after my youngest child... I cannot lose this pouch! I eat healthy, exercise intermittently and have overall good health. I googled and YouTubed for answers on “ how to shed belly fat after 11 year tubal ligation” but nothing! I’m considering Lipo but my husband is against me “ going under the knife”. I get that however I feel a little sucking out the belly fat couldn’t hurt! I also breastfed all three of my children and lost the buoyancy in my breasts sooo sometimes my stomach sits out farther! I joke about it at times but ultimately I want to lose the belly bugle and achieve s flat tummy but it’s been so hard even with consistent exercise and suggestions from my fitness forward friends!

Yes. I am 37 and just had mine done in Jan. I have put on weight every since. I've never weighed this much in my life and have been through 4 other pregnancy.

I considered having tubal ligation but 3 friends have experienced dry skin, loss of libido and/or significant weight gain. I decided to forego the procedure.

there is no answer, something changed I know because I had my tubes tied at 28 and now 35years later I have carried the 90 ibls around with me for 35 years. I would NEVER tell anyone to get their tubes tied
