Hello. I'm 24 year old male and just recently I have developed one very unpleasant and probably serious condition.
First, I would like to tell you that I'm sexually active for several years now and that I've never seen anything like this.
It all started about ten days ago with this big red bump on my scrotum. I haven’t contacted anyone because I somehow thought that it will clear it by it self. But the problem is that not only that this lump didn’t disappear, but it turned into yellowish and very painful structure! Can someone please tell me what should I do?

Hello. I'm very sorry about your symptoms because I see that you're upset with all this. I would suggest you to contact your general practitioner as quick as you can, even though I don’t think that you have developed some serious condition.
I believe we are talking about simple sebaceous cyst and that’s all. Sebaceous cysts are swollen, blocked glands that look like yellowish pimples.
You probably know that your whole body is covered with these small sebaceous glands. Well, the openings of these glands easily become blocked, so they become inflamed.
They are really harmless and some antibiotic cream should relieve all your symptoms!

I think you may have H.S. a type of acne that happens around that area. It's harmless.

My boyfriend had the same problem. After the bump didn't go away for a week or so and only got redder, we put a clean needle in it and learned that it was only a huge ingrown hair! We cleaned the area thoroughly and removed the hair, and the spot healed after two days.
