My dose of Valium does not help. I got that medication because I was depressed, ever since my meno started. My doctor recommended Valium of 5 mg for my depression. But it is not working anymore. I am even thinking about increasing my dose. What did you use to help depression in meno? Did it help you?
I also used Valium of 5 mg to help depression, but it was fine with me. Valium really helped me a lot throw this period. Maybe this medication or the same dose of it does not work equally for different people. My opinion is that you are not supposed to change dose of Valium by your self in any way. I think that better checking need to be done by person who prescribes it.
Hi Cassondra
This is a simple suggestion, but it is the one that helped me the MOST of everything. Exercise.
Now I am not a exercise person, so I hadn't been doing any of it. For whatever reason, just talking a 30 to 40 minutes walk a day makes the difference in my depression. Because I am not a exercise type person, this is really hard for me to keep up. So when I start to skip it, the depression is back really fast. Depression itself makes me want to stay in a not walk, or bike, or do anything. But if I can force myself out, the walk will lift the heaviest part of the depression.
In bad weather, I ride the exercise bike indoors, or even mild indoor aerobics does the trick.
I hope this suggestion helps, because I know how serious this problem is. I wish you the best.
