Hi, my father is 76 years old and has just been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. And honestly, I cannot recall that he exaggerated with food, alcohol, or unhealthy life. So, I am concerned that it might be something hereditary. What can I do to prevent getting diabetes mellitus? Will correction of food diet have any effect diabetes prevention?
