I googled help with suboxone withdraw and saw your post. I feel your pain and think I understand. I'm trying to help my adult son. This is his 2nd day he is staying to himself and suffering. Like you i miss seeing him happy and free of this pain.I 'm reading your post and remembering who my son was. I'm going get out some old picture of my son I pray this also will help give him hope. I will also be praying for you. Just take it one day at a time. YOU CAN DO THIS. Just think spring will be here with warmth and flowers. I agree with you I so want my life back this is so hard on whole family. I also agree god has a plan for us all. Although we might not understand why we must go through such pain. I feel your post gave me a hope for my son. Step by step just do it !!

Your an id**t. Of course suboxone is MUCH harder to get off of than a full opiate ive withdrawn from heroin and oxys all it is is hell for 5 days and your good. Suboxone is the SAME hell for about 6 times as long.

It will be ok man. Just keep telling yourself when its full blown "it WILL get better" If you get too the point that you cant handle it and feel like relapsing SMOKE WEED. Marijuana helps a TON with suboxone and any other opiate withdrawals. Even if you don't smoke or never have before... give it a try... weed truly is gods plant. It helps with the not being able too eat by giving you an appetite, and MOST importantly it lets you SLEEP.

Hey bud, veteran suboxone user and experienced withdrawal'er here. If your on 6mg a day now go down half a mg every 14 days. Once you reach 1mg go down .125mg a day and once your down too .125mg take it daily for 14 days, then take it every other day for 2 weeks, then once a week for 2 weeks. After that your safe too jump off. You WILL withdraw make sure you know that and are mentally prepared. Also, when your withdrawing tell yourself "it will get better" and if it gets too hard for you.... do something that a lot of people would consider wrong for some reason and that is SMOKE WEED. It helps a TON with withdrawal symptoms, it gives you an appetite and helps you keep food down, it takes away the horrible anxiety and most importantly it helps you actually sleep, which you will find to be the worst part is going days without sleeping.

Hi there I had to comment on your comment. I noticed you said a partial opiate compared to a full opiate is a joke, I have to disagree because suboxone is a different drug in a sense all together. The experience I had with coming off 8mgs of suboxone was hell, as is coming off of heroin or Oxys. Now anyone will have cravings to use but the difference between suboxone and dope is the Half Life. I'm currently at 35days, that's 35days of complete sobriety (yes alcohol is considered a drug too). Anyway my point is even after a month of no subs my body is still withdrawing, I still have points of sweaty palms, terrible sweaty pits, restless legs, hot/cold feeling in my body, random body shivers, and a mental mind game that's horrible. Most of those are because the suboxone half life, it stays in your cells for months which is the difference between heroin which you can kick after 7days and feel a pink cloud almost right after (we will still crave drugs whatever you are getting off of) Now science tells us that us addicts go through PAWS (post acute withdrawal syndrome) which is the psychological part of using which can last for one to two years after getting clean. I just wanted to inform you that suboxone withdrawals are far from a joke my friend.
My advice for anyone who is trying to beat Suboxone is that You Can Do It! You don't have to wein as much as you think; like I said I went from 8mg strip to 0. I did it in a rehab detox and was given a awesome schedule of 325mg Vicodin for 6 days.
The first 3 days was 1 Vicodin every 4hours. Day 4 was 1 every 6hours. Day 5 was every 8hours. And day 6 was every 12 hours. Then nothing but an occasional Benadryl for sleep and a Catapress for my restless legs (which I do not recommend if you have low blood pressure like myself). Tylenol will be your friend after that but don't overdue your liver.
I won't say it's easy to get off sub; from day 6-14 I was not "ok" I was still withdrawing pretty intensely, but still I was past the worst part of it, slowly and surely you will get back to yourself (the waiting is a b***h I know) but w positive conversation, group meetings and cigarettes I am going to get threw this and be a much better person without suboxone. To be able to wake up and not have to use a drug is a blessing and a miracle in itself.
