Thank u for ur help on this topic, and I agree drugs are not the answer just a salve. Does anyone ever ask why people in this informed society take drugs? Maybe its not human weakness, maybe its one of many self-desructive options for dealing with this horrible world we all live in. Of course that is just a theory.

Im quitting right now. I have been on subs for 4 years 3-8mg strips a day. I stopped cold turkey for 5 days. They are too expensive. On the 6th day i had to take a half, which is better than 3 in a day. I skipped one day and took a half today. Now im not gonna take any for 2 days. Then i may take a quarter if i need. I will continue to drop dose but always skip a day or 2 until im done totally! The 1st 5 days was a breeze. 6th day was bad . I could tell my pressure was up and my heart was beating fast. Thats why i took a half. I will do this and i hope you guys do too. GOD be with us.

i have personally kicked probably every single opiate in the world haha, and I am currently on a taper for zubsolv, and it f*****g SUCKS! The part, I think that is the hardest is that it takes SO LONG. even when shooting damn near my weight in heroin (obviously not THAT much, but it seemed like it, and you get the point) I was done and back to normal in 7-10 days, maybe give or take a couple days. But for me, the constantness of this makes me want to give up on everything, and that is scary. I am now down to .15 and this last drop was the hardest for me.. and I feel like I have been in full withdrawl now for 3 days. again, because this happens to me every single time I drop so I think that is what people mean. It is worse, in the sense that it just goes on and on and on and on, and I also, am completely unable to even move really. Aside from restless legs, feeling like my spine is being crushed, sweating like a pig, and also a slew of other unpleasantries that I am sure you can identify with if you just invision the bathroom, I also literally have no energy.. and now, the depression is setting in

I don't agree, tapering off suboxone is a very slow process for thousands of people, your two examples are rare. A very slow tapering process is definitely the best way to go for people who have been on it for quite a long time and for those who have very sensitive systems. This drug sucks and is trading one addiction for another, just my experience and opinion.

I agree with you apparently everyone has as different experience with tapering off suboxone, some tolerate it easily for others like you and me it is hell and lasts for months. There is no right and wrong answer for tapering off this drug, everyone has to read their own body's reaction to the tapering process, if you can handle it you are really blessed, for those of us who suffer please pray for us, it is the hardest thing I have ever had to do.

I just want to say that suboxone is withdrawl is not that bad!! A little diareaah and insomnia wich causes you to be tired...b-12 vitamin helped me get up and out even more! I think it's all mental! I was on Percs for 2 years and subs for 2 years and I was only taking 4 mg of subs from a 120 mg perk habit a day...been on 2mg of subs for past year Im on day 12 and feel fine! Think positive and tell yourself this isn't nothing....most importantly get out the house and stay moving!! I didn't lay around at all...sometimes your weak and don't want to but after you get out its not that bad!!! Make it happen....it's so over played it's not funny!!! Maybe for h addicts it might be worse but for me it wasn't bad at all!! Good luck to everyone out there!! Opiates are the devil!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing your info. My son has been fighting this for a few years. He can't afford a suboxen Dr and is having to find it on the streets which is illegal. Your story helped me his mother to understand what he is going thru. Please pray for him he is lookin at a long fight ahead of him

Rubbish - yet more scaremongering. I am a Doctor and have also been through opiate withdrawals. Yes, it may be unpleasant for a few weeks, but sustained suffering is symptomatic of an underlying psychiatric condition which is often why we turn to opiates.

Dont use tylenol pm while being on suboxone program, the useless drug test will give a false positive and your dr will drop you..with no warning. Say you test a month to month, they wont call or give you the benefit of explaining they will just turn you away at your next appointment.
